kai when he hears you've come back after months of being gone
it's been 6 months since you left mystic falls and your finally back "dad i missed you so much" you have him a hug "i missed you to, now who's this?" "i'm dylan sir nice to meet you" "manners i like you. he's a keeper" you dad whispered the last part.
"come on dylan i have some friends i want you to meet!" you said excited as you took his hand running in the direction of the salvatore house.
you banged on the door coming face to face with stefan "y/n?" you nodded giving him a tight hug "stefan i'd like you to meet my boyfriend dylan." "nice to meet you."
you walked in dylan trailing behind "boyfriend huh?" stefan whispered only for you and him to hear. "is that the infamous y/n i hear? and boyfriend huh?" "well hello damon" damon pulled you in for a hug.
"dylan" damon nodded shaking his hand "well i just stopped by to say hello and that i'll be staying." you said your goodbyes walking with dylan to the park. dylan walked off to go get you two some ice cream leaving you alone.
"i heard you were back y/n i missed you" you heard a familiar voice, turning around you saw kai he had the biggest smile on his face "why didn't you call me or text me saying you were back?"
that's when dylan walked up "here babe" "that's why wow" kai walked off "kai wait" you handed dylan your ice cream "i'll be right back." he nodded letting you go talk to your friend.
"kai stop" he stopped but wouldn't face you "kai look at me please" he turned around but wouldn't make eye contact with you "kai please look at me" he shook his head not wanting to make eye contact.
"i can't look at you y/n no i can't" "why i didn't tell you because i didn't want you to freak out."
"i can't look at you because the worst thing i could possibly imagine and that's you looking at me with no love in your eyes so please just leave me alone."
he started to walk off but you ran in front of him "kai stop look i do love you i will always love you, you were my first love."
"y/n i waited six fucking months for you to come home and you come home with that bozo" "i never asked you to wait for me!" you yelled "sorry for waiting i shouldn't have and i'm sorry for loving you." kai pushed past you, you called out his name but he just kept walking.
"i don't feel so good can we go home" dylan nodded throwing away the ice cream walking home.

about 15 minutes later you get a call "hey babe what's up?" "i can't do this anymore y/n i have to go"
