Working in the hospital is always unpredictable.

People can get hurt in the stupidest ways.

I worked extra this week because I had to get everything ready for the new medical students that came in next week.

It was going to be awkward because I have to give them a speech in experience and taking their time to have the best income but most of them were in their mid-twenties and I was in my late teens.

"Code blue!" Someone yelled. I looked up to see Mrs. Satou's room lit up with a blue light.

"Shit!" I yelled running to her room. "Start compressions and push meds." I said. The nurses have been here with me since I was 15 so they knew what I always talked about.

"Oxygen levels are dropping!" One yelled.

"Bag her!" I snapped my gloves on before checking everything, trying to get her heart beating again.

"Oh my god..." her daughter said. She was outside with her son and husband.

"Ali! Go get Mrs. Tanaka and her family out!" I said as I moved the nurse who was doing compressions out of the way.

I used chakra to open her side, I stuck my hand in helping her heart beat.

"Go get blood bags. Just incase." I ordered. I felt her heart beating on its own and I sighed in relief.

I quickly healed her and ordered tests to find out what was happening with her.

"Fuck. This just got a lot more complicated." I said taking my gloves off and walking to go comfort her family.

------

"I'm so sorry, but I'm afraid we're back to square one." I look sadly at her. Her husband hugged her tightly, her sobs being muffled by her hand.

Their son didn't know what was going on but sat silently beside them.

"What would you like to do?" I asked. Her mother's heart was beating but her lungs weren't working and her kidneys were failing. We didn't know what was causing this.

"We'll give you time to think about it. We're so sorry." I walked away, giving her chart to a nurse.

I buried my head in my hands, leaning on the table at the nurses station.

"Rough day?" I looked up seeing Aiko. He handed me a cup of coffee. "Yeah. I'm losing a patient and I don't know why."

"That happens a lot." He mumbled.

"Not for me." I said. "I've been trained by Lady Tsunade! A legendary sannin of the leaf, so many people say I match up to her in skill of the medical and battle field but if I did, why can't I figure this out?"

"Hey," he comforted "Lady Tsunade has many fails too. Don't compare yourself to others, you are your own person." My eyes widen.

"I'm so fucking stupid!" I downed the rest of the coffee. "Thanks Aiko. I'll be right back." I walked to her room.

"Everyone's their own person, so why use a medicine that worked for another person and not make one that suits her body?"

The white light from my hands went over her whole body, trying to find the one part of her that makes her so much different from everyone else.

My eyes shot open as I found it. I wrote it down and quickly went to the herbs and medicine department to make something new for her.

I'll be here a while....

----

I was awoken by a blanket on my body.

I looked up and saw that I wasn't in the medicine room anymore.

"Hey, calm down." I looked up see Aiko.

"A-Aiko? What happened?"

"You've been working for 2 days and passed out from exhaustion." He said, I groaned as I rubbed my eyes.

A knock came from the door, I sat up seeing a nurse.

"Team 7 is back and has requested your help." My eyes widened a bit before nodding.

I put on my white coat and tied my hair into a low ponytail.

"Thanks for helping me back here. See you later." I smiled before following the nurse.

"Onee-chan." Sakura said. A small smile on her face, it seemed forced but I Though she was just tired.

"Sakura, What happened? Why the hell are you all so injured? Especially Kakashi?!" I yelled.

"Ow! Tone it down, Akiara-chan.." Naruto said, burying his face in his pillow.

"Alright, let me heal you guys then get some rest." I healed Sakura's very minor injuries before moving on to Naruto and Sasuke who had some deep wounds.

"What happened?" I asked Sasuke.

"We fought some guy named Zabuza-" my eyes widened at his name. "He was strong."

"I thought it was a C ranked mission." I said healing the cuts on his arms and face.

"Turned into an A ranked." He mumbled.

"You guys are way to young to have that kind of mission." I mumbled. I helped him lay down on the bed, his arm resting on an extra pillow. "I'll be here all night, press this button if you need me. I'll personally come if I'm not busy." I smiled before going to kakashi who refused treatment. I rolled my eyes closing the privacy curtains and asking the nurses to go outside.

"Kakashi Hatake, lie the fuck down or I'll kill you before your infections do." I growled. His eyes widened, scared of me and obeyed.

I lifted his shirt up roughly and touch his cuts with pressure making him wince.

I started healing, a mad expression on my face.

"I take it you're mad." He mumbled.

"Of course I'm fucking mad!" I yelled but quickly toned my voice down, knowing the genin were sleeping. "What made it an A ranked mission? Why didn't you leave?"

"Because if we did, the client would've lost his daughter and grandson." He said looking up at me.

"I'm sorry. Just seeing the genin hurt makes me wanna kill someone. Sakura's my little sister, I've known Sasuke for his whole life and Naruto is just special. He's Minato-sama's son and he reminds me so much of Kushina."

His hand rested on mine.

"I know, and you also know I would protect them with my life." He reassured.

"But then I don't want to lose you!" I said yelling in a hushed voice. His eyes soften as I lifted his shirt back down covering his healed skin. I healed the cuts on his arm and cleaned them.

"You won't."

"Shinobi life is unpredictable, don't make promises you can't keep." I said, tears rushing to my eyes.

"This is a promise I can keep. I'll keep you, me and the genin safe. Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura mean the world to you and I don't want to see you grieve for them." A single tear fell out of my eye. "Don't cry, you know how awkward I am when you cry."

"Sorry." I whispered brokenly. He wiped away my tears as a breathless laugh escaped my lips.

"I love you." He said. I smiled, he was a man of actions and I was a woman of words. It was rare for him to speak those words to me.

"I love you too. Don't you dare leave me." I mumbled.

"Never."
