I huffed as I slammed the door to the house, I was running late for work and Kakashi just had to pick a fight with me, which lasted for a minimum of thirty minutes.
When he was hokage we constantly fight, I had to fight him to be there for our kids because I knew how things went.
A busy parent assumes that their child will forgive them because they're providing for them but with children that young, all they think about is "Why isn't daddy here?" "Does mommy not love us anymore?"
Now he picked those fights with me, I sacrificed a lot of things so that Kakashi wouldn't have to worry about us at home, focus making the village safe and maintains its peace, I took time off work and the hospital suffered because of it making me run it with two kids in my arms, put them in the daycare and do a seven hour surgery so that that mother would live to see her son graduate the academy.
I ran to work, did as much as I could before I had to leave for the chunin exams.
Sakumo was participating with his other team 7 members, Sarada and Boruto.
But this mornings fight was the worst of them all, we were screaming at the top of our lungs, I was sure the kids were listening while they hid at the top of the staircase.
I'd always thought we wouldn't fight once he retired from being hokage but, we just had more time to fight.
"Ma'am, you need to leave. The exams are about to start." My secretary said, holding her clipboard.
"Already?" I said checking my watch. "Uhh, you have everything else handled right?"
"Yes, and we will page you if an incident occurs. Enjoy the exams." I smiled as she took my lab coat. I fixed my black flowy blouse that was tucked into my jeans.
I ruffled my hair so that it had a side part.
I walked to the arena, my heels digging into the ground as I did. I got to the stands and sat down, away from the others.
I just needed time to think.
I was pretty much zoned out for most of the exams.
Sakumo beat his opponent within milliseconds so not much to see there, but boruto?
Whole different story.
I noticed Naruto had called Hinata to use her byakugan to watch the match. He had a stern face on and look disappointed when Hinata talked to him.
Once Boruto had won, he jumped down there. Boruto went to give him a fistbump but he disqualified him from the exams.
I stood up in anger. Making my way to the back of the arena where he had left to, leaving a humiliated boruto in the arena with hundreds of eyes staring at him.
As I walked through the hallways, I saw Kakashi follow me.
"Now is not the time, scarecrow." I said making a sharp turn.
"Stop, What are you going to do?"
"Beat the shit out of Naruto, that's what." I mumbled.
He was with the other Kage, talking.
Kakashi walked in front of me.
"That is not going to end well."
"Your opinion no longer mattered once 'neglective mother' slipped out of your mouth." I glared before walking to Naruto.
"Lord Hokage," I spat angrily. He turned around to see me, confusion written all over his face. "I would like to speak to you."
"Akiara-chan, I'm busy right now—"
