Not used to

"This way Ma'am" a tall middle aged bulky man held my hand as he guided me to step on the elevated rock stairs.

I was welcomed by the fresh wind that blows around the place, making the green leaves of the trees dance. I covered the top of my eyes with my right hand against the hot sunrays coming from above.

I was walking with my plain white simple dress and strap sandals as I follow the uniformed man walking through the cemented pavement that leads to the place where I am headed at. The man in front of me guided my way until my eye caught a westernized well-designed mansion. I can hear the sounds of waves everywhere so I looked up to the side and there I saw a wonderful long line of white beach.

White, the color of the sands is pure white, opposing to what color my life is.

Black..

"I'm sorry for the long walk Ma'am Irene but we're finally here" the man apologetically smiled and opened the double doors for me

I smiled "It's okay, thank you for leading me on the way here"

My jaw practically drop when I saw how luxurious the lobby of the mansion is. I looked up to see the big and shining gold chandelier above us and the grand golden double staircase with a statue of a known angel in the middle

Wow, they must be so effin'g rich

"Madam Manoban instructed me to tell you to wait here ma'am. They' will be arriving soon" the man pointed the wooden expensive furniture placed inside the luxurious mansion.

I seated on the wooden sofa and lingered my eyes around the place, several big known paintings was hanging on the soft cream walls of the mansion. A big piano was placed sophisticatedly in the corner while some vintage furniture's and vases completed the whole extravagant ambiance of the room

I have never been inside of a big and extravagant mansion like this before! I assumed the people who owned this was as luxurious and elegant just how like the mansion is!

I gulped

Okay I suddenly regretted that I'm here, it's so freaking obvious that I don't belong here, it doesn't suit my lifestyle and I suddenly wanted to go home!

I mentally slap myself..

But I could never turn back now, I already accepted it! This is my fate, this is my decision to change my miserable life

I took a deep breath

"Calm down. You can do this" I calmed myself down

"Are you okay ma'am Irene? You need something?" The man with his large white polo shirt and dark slacks standing beside me asked

I smiled" No sir, I'm okay"

He supressed a laugh "Ma'am you can call me Matthew, not sir. I am your personal bodyguard from now on" he said with a firm tone which I assumed he usually uses to his boss.

"Okay then Matthew" I awkwardly said

I even got myself a personal bodyguard now? Wow

Soon enough, a maid with her tailored uniform came to the room with a tray of juice in her hands.

"Ma'am Irene, Madam Manoban will be arriving soon" she said and bowed 90 degrees in front of me, making me awkwardly smiled and tilted my head to the side as a sign of respect.

"Ah he-he it's okay.."

I'm not really used to people treating me like this way. I guess I will have to be used in this kind of lifestyle for months.
