Emiko's POV

"Ugh," I groaned as I woke up, bright white light shining in my eyes.

I felt something warm under my head, so I snuggled into it a bit more.

I tried to sit up but gasped when a searing pain tore through my lower abdomen and head, and I hissed, lying back down.

"Lie down babe, you're going to rip your stitches," Shawn's husky morning voice spoke, swiping some hair out of my eyes.

"I'm so glad you're okay," he said, kissing my forehead and hugging me tightly, but making sure to be extra careful where my stitches were.

"Man, why is it always me that gets hurt? Like, all y'all need to take some lessons on how to unintentionally smash a trophy case with your hip because it's pretty dang exciting," I said sassily and he laughed, kissing me.

"And this is why I love you," he sighed, smiling when I said it back.

"Where are the others?" I asked, still enveloped in his arms.

Our current position was his arms were wrapped around my waist, just below my stitches, and we were especially close because of the limited space the hospital bed provided.

"They all went out to get food, even the rest of the boys and Melissa, Laya, and Mari are here," he said and I grinned.

"Wait, so I have to eat hospital food?" I asked, my smile dropping.

"We're not that mean, come on now," he scoffed and I laughed.

"I'm bored," I stated, trying to hang off the side of the bed like I usually do when I get bored.

"Oh no you're not, no way," he said and I gave him a glare.

"I do what I want," I said, trying to lean over the bed when he pulled me up again.

"Still no," he said, beginning to get irritated with my stubbornness.

"EMIKO!!!" I heard about 10 boys yell with 4 girls, barreling into my room.

Melissa, Laya, Taylor, Jake, Gilinsky, and Matt got stuck in the doorway, so they shoved each other until they all made it through, Nash and Cam handing me Taco Bell.

"You guys are idiots," I mumbled, digging into my food.

"Woah, babe slow down, you're gonna choke," Shawn said and I started laughing, actually choking.

I coughed and my eyes got all watery.

Shawn patted my back and I started laughing again.

"We're the idiots? You're the one who fell into a glass trophy case," Cayla said, raising her arms up.

"I just told Shawn about that like bruh y'all need to take some lessons because if I wouldn't have gotten hurt and ya know bled all over I bet it would've been pretty epic," I said and they gave me weird looks.

"It looked painful. You looked pretty significantly dead and it was terrifying," Nash said and Shawn's eyes filled with pain.

"You should've seen Shawn when he saw you," Cam said.

"What did he do?" I asked, kind of scared to find out.

"He was punching the floor and walls and roaring and yelling and his eyes were red and he was crying and screaming at Nash and I because we wouldn't let him hold you until he calmed down," Cam said and I kissed Shawn's cheek.

He blushed and looked down.

"It literally puts me in physical pain seeing you hurt in any way," he said and I smiled, kissing him.

"Ew, guys stop," Johnson said and Shawn flipped him off.

"She's been corrupting him," Matt whispered to Gilinsky and he nodded.

"Yo Johnson," I said, his head snapping towards me.

"I have a friend I think you'll want to meet," I smirked and his blue eyes lit up.

"What's her name?" He asked excitedly.

"Hope, she's been my best friend for 10 years just about," I said and Cayla nodded at me, smirking.

I showed him some pictures of her and I from the last time we saw each other. She has super curly brown hair and blue eyes, and is very sassy and weird, just like Jack.

"She's beautiful," Jack said and I smirked at him.

"I already told her about you, but I'll send you her number," I said, pulling out my phone and texting him her number.

"Oohh, Johnson's finally found his mate!" Taylor yelled and everybody hollered, clapping.

"Hey, I don't know that yet, but I did feel protective over her when I saw the pictures," Jack blushed and I cooed, hugging him.

Shawn growled and I patted his cheek after pulling away.

"You always do that but I love you and you know I'm just being friendly," I said and he nodded, his eyes casting downward.

"Hey...we should go have some fun," Jake smirked viciously and Matt rolled in a wheelchair for me, and an extra one.

"Let's have wheelchair races!" Carter yelled and everybody cheered, except for Shawn who looked like he was not going to let me participate in this.

"No, I am not okay with this," he said as I sat in a wheelchair.

"Oh just come here," I said, standing up slightly and pulling him in the wheelchair, sitting on his lap.

"Now you can steer," I smiled innocently and he glared playfully.

"Not what I had in mind, but okay," he shrugged, holding tightly to my waist with one hand with his other hand clasped around the wheel.

We were racing Matt and Carter, who just left Cayla as the third wheel and sat on each other's laps.

"GO!" Yelled Nash, taking off his jacket and waving it like a flag.

"Shemiko is now in the lead, while Marter is falling behind," Jake spoke in his Transformers voice, talking into my hair brush like a microphone.

Nash, Cam, Taylor, Laya, Mel, Mari, and Johnson were cheering for Shawn and I while the rest were cheering for Matt and Carter.

Carter fell out if the wheelchair and we won by default, and then after that Cayla and Mari versed Jack and Jack, Mel and Nash versed Cam and Laya, Mari and Johnson versed Taylor and Gilinsky, and Jake narrated for everyone. Aaron kind of just stood there and watched, shaking his head at all of us.

I had never had so much fun at the hospital.
