Me and Mr Blake were going to meet Emily over lunch to explain everything that we had planned out. She'd already known something was up, I just didn't want to have to tell her over the phone.
The night Mr Blake told me he knew about the marriage I decided to sleep at his for the night. You may be thinking right now that was a wired thing to do with your teacher but I'd done it a couple times before when Mr Blake was tackling his own issues when his father passed.
It felt good to just let go of everything, leaving them in Mr Blake's hands, I knew I could trust him cause I'd trusted him for so long and not once did he break my trust.
Maybe me marrying him was a good thing?
There was an eight year gap between us. That was it. It actually seemed okay and if you thought about it deeper, more believable.
I was going ahead with this. I didn't care anymore. But what I didn't think about at the time and only thought about when I was walking the aisle, was my parents. And it was bad.
I still had to do the planning for the wedding with my parents which meant I'd have to come home for some of this week.
I sighed. This was going to be hard.
I was snapped out of my thoughts as I felt a tap on my shoulder, I looked up seeing Mr Blake's flawless face. "We gotta go Millie" he said holding his hand out for me, I put my hand into his, feeling his fingers curl around my hand so I decided to do the same. He pulled me up and we walked to the car, not letting go of eachothers grip. We only let go when we had to sit inside the car.
"You okay?" Mr Blake asked turning the key in the ignition as it started. "Yeah" I nodded looking out the window.
"Don't lie" Mr Blake said, he placed his hand on my leg and my breath was instantly caught in my throat. I felt paralysed. "I..sorry..I'm just..stressed about this wedding stuff..my parents and everything..how're we going to pull this off?" I stuttered slightly.
Mr Blake lifted his hand from my leg, "don't worry, we're going to get help remember? It'll be fine. And look we're going to see Emily now, I'm sure she'll make this all work together" Mr Blake reassured.
I gave a small smile and I nodded.

I saw Emily enter the school canteen walking towards me and Mr Blake. We were sat right at the back.
Emily reached us and embraced me, giving a small wave to Mr Blake and then took a seat. Her light Brown short hair was pulled out her face with a couple bobby pins, she wore her panic! At the disco hoodie with some dark blue jeans and converse.
"So, what's so much of a problem you both needed to see me?" Emily said with a small frown on her face.
"Well.." I started. I looked at Mr Blake and then at Emily.
"Well?" Emily said with a question like tone.
"Mr Blake knows about the marriage stuff and .. yeah" I tailed off.
"Oh..okay then" Emily said, I could tell she didn't know what to say. She eyed Mr Blake.
I didn't really know what to say After this, but the job had been already completed because before I could open my mouth to say another word Mr Blake spoke.
"Yes and..Well im marrying her" he just blurt out. I looked at him wide eyed, I knew we'd been through this and we both agreed but he had said it so straight forward to Emily there was no doubt she'd gotten the wrong idea.
Emily's face was a mix between shock, confusion and at a loss for words. "Em don't worry it isn't like that, it's..a long story in which we're gonna need your help" I filled in. Instantly Emilys expression calmed.
"Well please explain both of you" she said wringing her hands together.
"Well Emily, yesterday Millie came over and well..turns out I knew about the marriage before she even told me..cause I kinda overhead you both..but that's not the point! The point is Millie has told me everything, and well the only way to get her out of this is if she gets married to another man, where I come in. But to make this work, we need you to do a couple things" Mr Blake briefly explained.
"Okay..and those things are?" Emily questioned.
"Well, it's all going to take place on the wedding day. I'm going to do everything possible to make you the brides maid of honour, but what your actual role is, to distract Hussain and my family, presuming his as well. Make sure nobody from this school attends the wedding but also change the names from Hussain Begum to Luke Blake with the priest" I said.
A moment of silence shared between me, Mr Blake and Emily passed as the clattering of dishes and cutlery, and teachers as well as students chatted could be heard. Emily then Cleared her throat placing her hand down flat on the table.
"So you guys are getting married, which saves Millie from that abusive prick head Hussain, and I've got to make this work by becoming a bridesmaid, communicating with a priest and distracting Hussain himself?" Emily confirmed.
I nod my head.
"Sure, when's the wedding again?" She asked. My heart instantly lifted at this. Thank god.
"Next Monday" Mr Blake said.
"Well I'll have that all done, you guys just make sure you don't get caught" Emily said standing up tucking her chair under the table.
"Yeah don't worry..where are you going?" I asked, "to study for the French test I have in about.." Emily paused glancing at her wrist watch, "exactly 20 minutes. I'll leave you guys to it, bye" Emily said scurrying off.
"See you" me and Mr Blake said in perfect sync. I turned to face him but just as I was going to say something I heard Emily call out from behind "use protection!". I turned around shocked at what she just said. She was now running off.
I looked back at Mr Blake with an look of embarrassment on my face.
"Sorry about her" I said looking down, "oh it's quite alright" Mr Blake chuckled.
