I didn't really know what I was doing but I was lightly drunk on 3 or 4 drinks. I wanted to stay sober enough so I could find millie and Luke afterwards, knowing they probably were properly drunk.
I was dancing around in a crowd of people as one of my favourite songs New perspective by Panic! At the disco was playing.
But as I twirled around I stumbled right into someone.
"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry!" The someone I walked into said. She'd spilt her drink all over me.
"No no it's fine, that was my fault" I Said. I couldn't help but stare at the beauty in front of me though.
It was a girl with middle length red hair, her eyes were a shade of green that just seemed to pierce through my soul. Her skin was a pale shade.
I leant down and picked up the glass the girl dropped and handed it to her, "here" I smiled.
"Thanks, how about we go get a drink together. so I can make it up to you. I've ruined your shirt" The girl offered holding up her glass.
I nodded. she grabbed my hand and we weaved through the crowds of people till we reached the bar.
the girl pulled out a stool for me as i took a seat, "Thanks" i said.
The girl beckoned the man handing out drinks at the bar to us.
"could i get 2 cokes with Bacardi please?" the girl said, the man nodded and stalked of to where the drinks were made.
i turned to the girl "so, i never got your name?" i asked staring into the girls green eyes.
"I'm Sara, and you are?" Sara said, pushing the glass of coke and Bacardi towards me that had just arrived. she pushed a couple bank notes to the man who was serving us.
"I'm Emily" i smiled taking a sip of the beverage.
"nice name, so how comes your here all alone Emily?" Sara asked as she creased her forehead slightly.
"well i'm not actually here alone, i'm with my best friend and her.." i paused not knowing what to say. it would be a bit weird saying that she came into a bar with her teacher, wouldn't it?
"Her?.." Sara questioned.
"Husband" i breathed as i sipped at my glass.
"Ah i see, you did seem a bit hesitant whilst saying that didn't you" Sara grinned.
"Yeah they got married a couple weeks ago" i said.
"Oh i see, well that's great for them" Sara replied.
I nodded. i didn't know how long we spent talking but i was two drinks in when i realised.Me and Sara had been speaking for ages and i just forgot to drink my alcohol, i was just so lost in our conversation.
I found out many things about Sara. in which she was also a Lesbian just like me. we could relate more with things. she also went through the same phase as me in school, and i was only just realising how many people made fun of the LGBT+ community. it was honestly ridiculous.
I found out that Sara went to college just about 5 minutes away from the University. she was the only child, and she was welsh. Her parents lived four hours away, in the same city me and Millie had originally came from, where our parents currently were as well. She came from Aberystwyth which was where Luke also was from.
She also lived on her own. She was really understanding and nice. We were similar in many many ways and realised some of our problems were also very similar.
