"Well Mils I'll see you soon, I'm staying over at Sara's tonight" Emily said standing beside Sara. They were standing in front of their car ready to leave.

"yeah, see you" Millie replied shuffling from foot to foot, she was looking down. This entire time we were at the restaurant she didn't seem her usual self, and i was getting a bit worried.

Just as Sara got into the car Emily lent forward to both of us, "i'm staying at Sara's so you two can finish of what we walked in on earlier" Emily whispered with a smirk on her face. My eyes widened with embarrassment, she knew that too?

Millie was now tugging on my arm.

"right then" i cleared my throat, "we'll be off" I said trying to hide the unease in my voice. I stuffed my hand into my pocket trying to find my keys.

"bye Luke, bye Mils" Emily said laughing as she got into the car with Sara. we waved them off and they drove on. i breathed out as a cloud of smoke appeared from the cold. I turned to Millie who looked pale and was still clinging onto my arm.

i laughed and kissed her forehead. "you okay?" i asked her as i started walking her to the car.

"yeah" she quietly said.

we reached the car as i unlocked it letting her sit inside. i joined her and sat in silence for a while.

"Hey, I know Emily's mad at you but she can't stay mad forever. knowing you two you'll get back to being best friends soon. Just give it some time" I said starting the car.

"You think so?" Millie said sighing.

"I'll make it a promise..and if she doesn't you can sue me" I said smiling.

"Right, thanks" she giggled, she was so adorable.

"besides..we have things to look forward to tonight" I said glancing over at her fumbling with the seat belt. she looked at me as a small smile started playing on her face. "we do.." she mumbled. I impatiently pulled on my seat belt and started driving to Millie's apartment.

I pulled into the car park, parking the car and getting out. I locked up and started heading off hand in hand as Millie dragged me off to her apartment.

Millie rushed up the stairs, i almost tripped up as i missed a step. "Jesus slow down Angel" I laughed continuing to follow Millie up the stairs. we reached her apartment door as she unlocked the door pulling me inside.

She locked the door and slipped of her sandals not bothering to put them into the rack. I took of my shoes and picked up hers and put them both into the rack before following her to the kitchen.

"do you want water or coke?" She asked standing in front the fridge.

"waters fine" i responded. I watched Millie's every move as she walked over to the cupboards standing on her tiptoes as she grabbed a glass. as she walked to the counter pouring in some water and then opening the freezer dropping in a couple ice cubes. she grabbed herself a coke from the fridge before she set off to her bedroom.

i followed her, closing the door behind us. Millie handed me my glass as i took it from her, my hand brushing against hers.

"so" I said whilst i took a sip of my water. she honestly looked so breathtaking this whole evening in the small breezy black she was wearing, not to mention she always did. But she was being such a tease.
