I walked down the corridor of our dormitory building making my way to my room. I'd just finished my lessons for today and in about a hour I'd need to meet Mr Blake in his classroom so he could drive me to his for tuition.
Today was just such a drag and I'd already cried a couple times today, hiding from everyone. I was just sick of having to deal with my parents all the time, my school work on the other hand was stressful.
I reached my dorm pulling out my key from my back jean pocket thrusting it into the door where I was met with Emily sat on her bed watching Netflix. "Hey Em" I said closing the door behind me "hey" she replied, her eyes still glued to the screen. I sat on my bed with a "thump" and carelessly chucked my bag on the floor, "where's Ella and Molly?" I ask referring to our other two room mates, "oh Mollys with Rex and Ella's studying in the library" Emily replied looking away from her screen, I just nodded at her.
"Mil..are you okay? You seem down today?" Emily asks, I look at her and feel my face crumple, I knew what was coming, and I couldn't help it. I broke out into sobs as I held my face in my hands. I felt Emily sit next to me putting her arms around me "hey hey..it's okay, what's wrong?" She gently asked, I brought my hands away from my face sniffling, "I..I don't know..I really need to see Mr Blake.." I cry, "you don't see him for another hour hon" Emily says, "I know..I..I'm going to email him and see if we can start tuition earlier" I respond "of course, do what you need to do Millie, and remember I'm always here for you" Emily says hugging me.
I'm so thankful for her.
