Ever since Luke was in hospital we'd been staying with him. I didn't feel like leaving him and going back to uni, nor did Millie.
We stayed with Luke. They shifted him to one of the rooms where visitors could stay but as the usual way it would be only one person was able to stay.
When I told the nurse that Millie and Luke were married she then said Millie could just sleep with Luke instead.
I knew damn well that when she would wake up she would want to murder me. But what other choice did I have?
For the time we'd been staying I'd also realised something. In a couple months me and Millie would be finishing university. I knew Millie wouldn't want to stay with her parents because they'd take her straight to Pakistan but my parents lived four hours away from the town our university was in. I didn't want to leave Millie, and millie would want to stay around Luke too.
So we'd have to get our own place to stay. I'd been looking at apartments that were close to Where Luke lived but also the university. I found one small one in particular that was close. It was a 2 bedroom with en suites in both rooms. The kitchen and living room was all one room Together and then there was one bathroom in the corridor which I didn't really see any Perspective of.
I'd been in the hospital with Millie and Luke for almost a week so I called up the owner of the apartment and he asked me to come over and view it. I was pretty satisfied with it so I decided to rent it out. My parents were paying until me and Millie got a job. Our holidays were also coming up, so it was pretty convenient.
Now I had two problems.
The first problem was that Millie didn't have a clue I'd done this all. And I didn't know how she would take it when I told her. I didn't even know how to tell her.
The second was we would need to get jobs. Which was kind of a hassle, I still didn't know what I wanted to do. And jobs seemed limited.
I pushed the door open with my back as I held 3 cups of coffee perched in a card board tray in my left hand and a three brown bags in my right.
Since the day after Luke's operation he handed me his car keys and told me to just drive down to McDonald's instead. I'd taken my driving test ages ago and had passed but just didn't bother getting a car.
I walked into the room being met with Luke sat on the hospital bed in the clothes I brought over for him when he got discharged. But strangely Millie wasn't in sight.
Luke gave me a warm smile as I walked to the table, I returned it as I placed the bags and coffee onto the table.
"Where's Millie?" I asked.
"Uh..I don't actually know" Luke said as a concerned look appeared on his face looking out the window.
"What do you mean you don't know? She's your wife your supposed to know" I snapped crossing my arms.
"She is but she just said she was going on a walk, she looked and sounded pretty stressed..she's probably just doing that Em" Luke explained drawing his attention away from the window to me.
I sighed loudly letting my arms untwine and fall from my chest "I guess, sorry I over reacted" I said looking to the side.
"It's alright Em, relax" Luke said.
I turned around picking up Luke's coffee and walked over to him. I handed him his coffee as I propped myself down next to him.
"Thanks" he said.
"No problem. There's something I gotta tell Millie" I said.
"What is it?" Luke said taking a sip of his drink.
"Well, you know that day when I told you both I was going to grab something from uni?" I said looking at Luke.
He nodded.
"Well I didn't go there. I actually went to go to view this apartment I've rented out already for me and Millie" I said.
"Oh well that's great news. Millie's going to be happy to hear that, isn't she?" Luke said.
"Well..she doesn't really take these things well. She's hates change and it takes her a long time to adapt to it all. And in that period of time she's usually miserable" I said.
"Oh..damn" Luke let out raising one of his eyebrows.
"Yep. And she's not going to like the fact I did it all behind her back. She's going to kill me" l said.
"Well you can't be certain that exactly all that is going to happen, can you?" Luke said placing the coffee cup down on the nightstand.
"Well..no..I'm just scared of her reaction" I said wringing my hands together.

"Well..no..I'm just scared of her reaction" Emily said wringing her hands together. It was a habit she had whenever she was thinking or something was bothering her, I'd realised it.
"Well you can't start expecting something before you even commit it, can you?" I said.
She shook her head no.
"See? I say go ahead and tell her. Watch her reaction. If it's a good one, great. If it's bad. Talk it out with her. Try and make her understand. And If she doesn't? Make her talk to me" I said.
There was a moment of silence as Emily stared at the wall. She was presumably thinking about her decisions. Till she finally spoke.
"I'll tell her" Emily said finally looking at me.
"Good, when?" I said smiling.
"When she comes back I guess" Emily said, she stood up.
"Well Blake you best get yourself ready, you've been discharged remember? We have to fill in that paper work in a couple hours" she said instantly turning back into her usual bubbly self.
"Yep doing just that" I smiled.
