Chapter 8

Y/n's POV

It was later on that night and miroku offered his services to an old priest so we stayed in his shrine, I don't know but something was off about it and it was the night of the new moon. I hope nothing happens or we're in trouble. For some reason I was the only one on edge, maybe it was my imagination and Because of what happened earlier. I can sleep, every time I close my eyes I think about kagome slapping me. "What am I going to do..." I whispered to myself, I looked around to see everyone asleep so I stood up and decided to look around the shrine. As I was walking the air became thick and ominous, I walked closer to the main room and I heard some unearthly noises that sent shivers up my spine. I opened the door to see the priest was a spider demon and he was wrapping up a young girl, I screamed in terror and ran back to the room. "no! W-why a spider! HELP! WAKE UP!" As I ran I sensed a jewel shard, it has a jewel shard. This is gonna turn out badly. I ran so fast back to the room that my feet were bloody and bruised from smacking and rubbing against the woody, I screamed quickly "WAKE UP! IT'S A SPIDER DEMON!"

Inuyasha's POV

I groaned and opened my eyes to see y/n, she was screaming and tears we're forming in her eyes. "What's wrong!? What happened" I reached out a hand to touch her but something wrapped around her ankles and jerked her back making her fall, "Y/n: HELP ME INUYASHA! THE PRIEST IS A S-" her words were cut off when she was pulled away at an inhuman speed, all I heard was her screams.

Kagome's POV

I had woken up to see the whole scene and so did the others but we couldn't move, it was like we were paralyzed. "I-Inuyasha.." I said weakly that being the only thing I could choke out, I then tried to reach for one of my arrows but then suddenly I blacked out.

Inuyasha's POV

I stood up and ran as fast as possible following the scent of y/n and her blood, "w-why did I sit there for so long! How did I not sense it!" I was ashamed of myself but it was no time to talk, I went for the main room and as soon as I step in I see the spider demon tormenting y/n. Her face was stained with tears and all the color In her s/c was drained, I took out my tetsiga and it didn't transform since I was human. "Damn you...I'LL DESTROY YOU!" Before I could swing my sword it started spitting poison at me, it burned my skin but it wasn't worth loosing her.

3rd person POV

Y/n had enough time to break her way out of the spider webs, then she ran over to Inuyasha and pushed him out of the way of the poison. "Inuyasha: What are you doing y/n!? Your gonna get us killed!" Y/n didn't respond and she ran to the closet room she could find with Inuyasha. She ran into the room with him and shut the door then she sealed it off with a necklace that she had that could make a powerful barrier and ontop of that with the sheath of tetsiga, They sat on the floor and took some breaths before speaking to one another.

Y/n's POV

"Inuyasha...are you okay?" I asked finally wincing at my bleeding and sore feet, "Inuyasha: I'm fine..but..your the one who's really my concern, I know after what happened earlier you were hurt and wanted to be alone..but I felt that you needed me and I didn't come to console you..I'm sorry y/n.." my heart melted at his words and I looked at him. "I-Inuyasha.. that's not your problem..maybe I shouldn't have told you my feelings.. maybe I should have left them to myself...maybe..I deserved to get slapped by kagome.." in that instant I felt myself being pulled then I landed against Inuyasha's warm body, he growled "Inuyasha: You didn't deserve that!" My eyes widened at his words and I started to cry. "Inuyasha: you shouldn't be punished for telling how you feel, every man, women or demon has that right and I'm not gonna let you sit here and put yourself down because of how you feel and you telling me how you feel!" I looked at Inuyasha to see him all sweaty and him panting. "The poison!" I said lifting up off of him, he then fell forward. "Inuyasha: if it's okay..may I lay on your lap", I nodded and layed him on my lap. I took out a piece of clothe and I wiped off his face, "it's okay Inuyasha..I promise to nurse you until you turn half demon again...". He then peacefully fell asleep and I watched him until I drifted off myself.

*It was 30 minutes until sunrise and they finally started to feel the barrier being shaken every time the demon smacked against it causing them to wake up*

"You feeling better?" I said sitting  as he sat up, "Inuyasha: ..thank you for helping me, I do feel a little better". I smiled slightly and readied myself for anything, I stood up and winced a little bit but I grabbed my necklace and put it back on. "Inuyasha, it's not or never..", he nodded and grabbed his sheath making the barrier collaspe and the top of the room to crack. We then ran out and outside lowering him to the strine stairs, he then charged at us and the sun started to rise. "Already! Well!.." I took a step back as Inuyasha pulsed and transformed back into his half demon self. I ran back into the shrine and got everyone out along with their belongings, when I finished I gave Inuyasha the cue. he raised his transformed tetsiga "Inuyasha: WIND SCAR!" and with that the demon was killed and the sacred jewel shard was obtained, In no time the others woke up and we explained what happened. They understood and with that we left to continue our journey
