Chapter 31 (Fluff)

3rd person POV

It had been a week since the group slayed that demon, kagome decided to go home 4 days after. Everyone else waited around peacefully for her return.

Y/n's POV

I sigh lightly as I look around at the lush green grass, then I turn my attention to inuyasha who's waiting by the well for kagome. I sigh once more, "Even though he says he's doesn't love her...it still seems like it". I stare at him longingly, "Inuyasha...".

Inuyasha's POV

"What's taking her so long! It's been three days!". I growl and sit in front of the well, then the feeling of being watched washes over me, I follow me instincts and look to the left to see y/n watching me from a far.

Y/n's POV

My heart drops as I see Inuyasha looking directly at me, I quickly look away and try to make it seem like I wasn't watching him. I wait a little before looking back, when I do, I nothing see red. "Inuyasha!?" I back away, "dammit! You can't scare me like that!?" I say breathlessly. I look up at him, "Inuyasha: why were you watching me y/n?" He says. "I-I...", I start to choke up on my words not knowing what to say. Inuyasha stand there silently, staring deep into my eyes. I feel my cheeks heat up with blush, "Inuyasha..I..I don't believe that you don't have feelings for kagome still...". Inuyasha's gaze become more soft, then he reaches out his hand and intertwines it with mine. "Inuyasha: Y/n..I love you, more than kikyo and kagome..you showed me something different than the both of them did. You aren't attached to my past...your nothing but the future, and I'm glad that I met you and fell in love with you", my eyes start filling up with tears as my grip on his hand tightens. "I love you to..more than anyone", I walk closer to him and stand on my toes. I look into his eyes before kissing him passionately, I feel his arms wrap around me as the tears in my eyes leak down my cheeks.

3rd Person

Y/n and Inuyasha finish their kiss, and they both walk to the well and sit in front of it. Y/n lays her head on Inuyasha's shoulder and closes her eyes, she slowly drifts off into sleep. Inuyasha watches her sleep and lays his head on hers.
