Inuyasha x Reader

Chapter 5

Y/n's POV

Me and Kagome slowly follow him, the soul collectors becoming more frequent. I sigh and hold kagome's hand "it's gonna be alright.." I say trying to conceal the bitter pain aching inside my heart. I look ahead and see kikyo leaning against a tree, I watch at the soul collecters fly through the barrier and circle her. Me and Kagome hide behind a tree and watch as Inuyasha slowly approaches kikyo."Inuyasha: K-kikyo.." he stares at her, frozen in place; I look over at kagome and see tears forming in her eyes. "Kagome: I-Inuyasha N-no..", she then sat on the ground and put her face in her knees, I feel my heart start to shatter and tears well up. Inuyasha takes a few steps forward until he was inches away from kikyo. My hands tremble and my heart pounds out of my chest.

Inuyasha's POV

I look at kikyo deeply, "K-kikyo..I promise not to leave you again, I-I'll protect you with my life.." I hug her tightly and melt into her embrace. She feels cold but her scent is the same as all those years ago, I then hear her speak to me; "Kikyo: Inuyasha..." She then kisses me softly. My eyes widen in shock, then I kiss her back closing my eyes. Kikyo pulls away from the kiss and I stare into her beautiful brown eyes.

Kikyo's POV

My plan was working, he was to foolish to know I'm going to drag him into hell with me, "Inuyasha..do you ever want to leave me?.."..I ask in a soft and innocent voice. "Inuyasha: No! Of course not!" He says hugging me tighter, "Then come with me...we'll never have to be apart again.." I softly caress his face as he falls into the trance I put on him. The ground start to cave in under us as my soul collectors surround me and Inuyasha then we're slowly pulled into the underworld, "Inuyasha: I'll never leave you kikyo.."

Y/n's POV

I watched in disbelief my heart shattering in millions of pieces, "Inuyasha...you idiot". Tears stream down my cheeks, then I feel an intense stare upon us. I look over to see kikyo staring. Without warning kagome stood up and yelled "Kagome: INUYASHA DON'T LEAVE!!", I wipe my tears follow along and start yelling "INUYASHA HEAR US!! WAKE UP!! IT'S A TRAP!!". Kikyo's face scrunched up in frustration. "INUYASHA!!" Kikyo then sends soul collects and they wrap around our bodies and start to squeeze the life out of us, small whimpers came from us as we continued to scream doing our best as the air from our lungs slowly ran out

Kikyo's POV

I think to myself, "I don't know how much longer I can hold his up..I'm gonna have to break the barrier. My soul collecters will hold them off, it's to deep in the process to have Inuyasha having second thoughts." I let the barrier go and hold on to Inuyasha's kimono tighter, I pull myself down so we can descend faster. "Inuyasha..stay with me forever..", we draw deeper into the portal; almost completely in the hole then I feel Inuyasha start moving. "Inuyasha: Y-Y/n.. Kagome..I'm coming..", I grunt angrily and think to myself "he's trying to break out! I can't let that happen." I start serenading him with my words but it doesn't work! Within an instant he's breaks out of the trance and leaps over to those girls, he slices up the soul collecters with ease, "I'm to weak I need to retreat". I quickly gather the remaining soul collectors I have and fly away slowly, as I fly away look at Inuyasha, "Do those girls mean more to you then I do..."

Y/n's POV

I watched as kikyo flew away, I gasped for air as Inuyasha helped us up off the ground. Inuyasha: Why are you here!? I told you not to follow me!", Kagome then snapped back "Kagome: Because we care and don't want you getting hurt! So how about you appreciate that we saved your life!" She said angirly. I grasped my chest and walked back to where Sango, Miroku, Kiara and Shippo were; "They'll be here soon.." I say to the others .

Kagome's POV

I start to walk away from Inuyasha, "Inuyasha: Where are you going..?". He asks quietly, I ignore him and leave the way I came. "I can't believe he almost let me die over kikyo..I thought I meant something to him, but I guess I was wrong..", I continue to walk until I see the others waiting for me. "Sango: Kagome? Are you alright?", I nod my head and see Y/n passed out on Kiara's back.

3rd person POV

Sango, Miroku, Shippo and Kagome walk back to the village, Y/n rests on Kiara's back. "Shippo: I hope Y/n is okay, she seems to pass out a lot", Miroku Responds; "Yes, it is starting to get rather worrisome.."
