Chapter 18

Kagome's POV

It's been so long since we've seen y/n, I'm starting to miss her and Inuyasha won't talk to anyone unless it's battle purposes. Shippo won't budge from the well and he's been crying, "Come back y/n...we need you.." I said quietly looking down at the plush green grass.

Shippo's POV

I sat at the well sniffling and whining, "y/n..please come back..I miss you so much, this is all Inuyasha's fault for being stupid.." I said shakily. "Inuyasha: what's my fault shippo?" I felt him pick me up by my tail, "it's your fault y/n won't come back because you were being stupid and went after kikyo again!" I then heard a small womenly groan as a s/c hand popped out the well, I managed to get out of his grip to see y/n climb out. I ran to her and hugged her leg, "y/n! Y/n! I missed you!! Don't leave that long ever again!!"

Y/n's POV

I looked down at shippo, "I don't think I'll be leaving like that In a long time..you didn't have to worry about me shippo". I smile softly and look down at him, "Inuyasha: y/n...." I slowly look up to see Inuyasha but my heart shatters at the sight of him. I look back down and pick up shippo then I walk past him...like he's nothing, I felt him tense up as he turned around and looked at me. "Inuyasha: h-huh?..y/n..?". I just kept walking until I finally reached the others, the first to notice me was kagome. "Kagome: Y/n! Your back!" She smiled and hugged me, "why do you all miss me so much..it's not like I matter so much in this journey. Kagome can sense jewel shards so I'm not really needed here..". Sango walked over to me and smiled, "sango: we missed you because your our friend, so welcome back y/n" I felt Kiara brushing up against my leg and Miroku smiled at me. For the first time in a long time..I felt like I had a family again.

Inuyasha's POV

I stand in that spot looking down at the grass, "why would she pass me like that?...like..I'm nothing to her..". Then I think about what shippo said and I realised what I had done, "..K-kikyo..did she see me kiss kikyo! Dammit! I'm so stupid! Why would I do that! I..basically played with y/n's heart! And toyed with her emotions like..Naraku did me and kikyo.." I turned around and went silent, I started walking to where the others might be.

Kagome's POV

"So he won't talk to anyone unless it's battle purposes and he's been sulking" I say looking down and rummaging through my pack, "y/n:...I see...well.. I'm not talking to him..he..broke my heart..." Just as everyone went silent Inuyasha walked up behind y/n. I watched curiously.

Inuyasha's POV

"Y/n..I'm sorry", everyone gasped except for y/n. "I was thinking about myself and my own selfish desires to have what I want..I'm sorry for not thinking how badly it would affect you..". Y/n turned around and looked at my tears already streaming down her cheeks, "y/n: it's to late for that..I can't even look at you without my heart shattering into thousands of pieces like the jewel when it was shattered, you broke my trust...you crushed my feelings...I can never forgive you for that...all you can do is hope..just hope..that I'll regain my trust in you again..I promise to stay with you...but.." she sighs and turns back around, kagome looks at her sadly then back at me. "Kagome: it was kikyo...?", I nod. She sighs and comforts y/n, shippo joins in as well. I jump up into a nearby tree and watch thinking about what I've done and what she said to me.."y/n..I'm sorry.."
