The guys next stop on the tour was Las Vegas, Nevada. I was the first one to get up. I had absolute worst headache from yelling and fighting that one chick last night. I walked over to the little kitchen cabinet. I grabbed a water bottle and popped the pills into my mouth as I sat in an open chair, looking out the window reading "Welcome to Nevada".
"Fuck, I'm starving" I hear Tommy say while yawning and stretching.
I turned around to him and replied "same". As soon as I say that, I hear Nikki come out from the room and rush to the bathroom to throw up. He sounded miserable. I hate seeing him like this. I hated seeing him the way he acted towards me last night. I just don't understand any of it.
He then stumbled out wiping off the corners of his mouth with his hand. He poured a cup of whiskey and sat down next to me quietly, putting his arm around me on my shoulder. I'm not going to lie, I was still really mad at how he treated me last night, but more just confused. Did he really not remember anything from last night???
I leaned my head down his shoulder and started to zone out.
"Kat...hello?? Anyone in there" Vince asks, snapping his fingers in my face.
I haven't had this feeling of numbness in a long time, not since I lost my older, twin brother in a car accident 4 years ago at age 19.
*flashback*
"Blaze Draven Graves, I swear to god if you don't stop it" I said jumping up and down in the parking lot try to reach my new Alice Cooper cassette I bought from Soundsations Records.
"Damn, being short must really suck, huh" he said messing up my hair with his free hand. Once we got back into his matte black, 1972 Ford Thunderbird.
After starting up the car, he puts in my new cassette. We pull out onto the street and head towards the street, PCH (Pacific Coast Highway), to take the scenic beach route home. As we were driving, the song Lace and Whiskey starts to play. My absolute favorite song by Alice Cooper.
I turn up the volume and start to drum to the beat with my hands on my thighs. Blaze has one hand on the steering wheel, while banging his head softly.
I find myself running in circles
Lost and half insane
And I need a cure sometimes
To knock out the painSo I yell out for some kind of angel
To come down and rescue me
Be as soft as you can
Put a drink in my hand
I'm as scared as I ever could beI look over at Blaze and smile. He was singing along. "He is such a good singer" I thought to myself. Why could I get those good genes???
Gimme lace and whiskey
Mamas home remedy
Double indemnity
Fills me with ecstasy
La-aa-aace and whiskey
