Chapter 18: Round and Round

The rest of the night seemed to go by pretty fast, and before any of us knew it, it was 6am. The sun was slowly rising. People were jogging down closer to the water along with their dogs. Apparently the remaining people that were here had all camped out and everyone was still knocked out. I opened my eyes and saw next to me on the left was Jake. He was snoring and laying on his stomach with his face facing towards me. Then I realized I had someone's arms wrapped around me and my waist, spooning me. I looked down to the tattooed arms and quickly realized it was Nikki's.

I slowly and quietly moved his arm and sat up. I looked down at him as he shifted his body to get more comfy. I got up and grabbed a free blanket and wrapped it around me and walked closer down to the beach. I took a pack of smokes and a lighter and lit one up.

"You do know that's those really aren't good for you" a mans voice said. I turned around and saw it was Vince.

"And that's gonna stop me how" I said sarcastically blowing smoke the opposite way.

"You know, I saw you and Nik this morning. You know cuddling" he said taking a seat next to me on the sand.

"Yeah and? He was probably cold. It's not like it was anything serious" I replied.

"Just don't let him get the wrong impression. I don't want to see you get hurt" he started to say. "Plus, he's with Vanity chick. You wouldn't want to get in the middle of that" he finished saying. My heart somewhat sunk at the sound of that. I know Nikki and I haven't been together for a long time, but just the thought of him with another girl did bother me a bit. But c'mon, it's Nikki Sixx. I mean who wouldn't want to be with him.

"I'm not tripping" I reply and laugh at his comment. "What Nikki and I had was years ago. We were too young to even know what we were getting ourselves into."

"Alright then, Kat" he said getting up from the ground.

"You want to help clean up and get these fuckers out of here before it gets too late" I asked getting up as well.

"Do I have a choice" he asked, nudging me on my arm.

"Damn Vinny, I guess not" I said putting my hands on my hips and shaking my head sarcastically.

He shook his head and laughed as we walked back up. Once people started to wake up, most of them decided to book it so they wouldn't have to help clean up. The only ones left were Nikki, Tommy, Jake, Slash, Steve and Alice. Alice and Steve were pretty close all night and still continued to be now. Tommy, Jake and Slash were talking amongst themselves and Nikki was still knocked out. I walked over to the sleeping Nikki to wake him.

"C'mon Nik, time to get up" I said crouching down to shake his shoulder gently to wake him up. He groaned. Of course. He had always done this.

"Nikki please get up. This place is trashed" I continued to say. He then rolled over from his stomach and yawned, slowly opening his eyes. When his eyes met mine, he gave a smirk. I tried to hold myself back from blushing, but it was too late. My cheeks were already pretty warm and as red as a tomato.

"Get up, lazy fuck. You can get your beauty sleep later after your done helping us" Vince said tossing over a somewhat full trash bag. I quickly moved back up to my feet to grab all the empty beer bottles and walk it over to the nearby trash can. Once I turned around, Nikki was right behind me.

"Oh fuck" I said getting startled by him. He towered over me. I looked up at him while blocking the sun with my hand.

"Oops, my bad" he said with a smirk. "I almost didn't see you there" he finished saying with a chuckle. I could tell he was being sarcastic and teasing me about my shortness.
