*slight trigger warning*

A week has passed since I had the operation done. Nikki has came over every day to come and take care of me. He thought I was just getting sick. I have had an off and on migraine from all the crying, but I still had really bad pain in my abdomen and was still somewhat spotting. I was surprised how much he was actually caring for me and acting normal again.

"I'm going to head out real quick and get some food. Anything you want specifically" he asked moving his head from my shoulder and looking up at me.

"Pizza sounds pretty good" I said looking back at him. He had bags under his eyes from lack of sleep.

"Got it" he said kissing my forehead and getting up from the bed. After he had left, Alice car into the room.

"How are you feeling" she asked sitting at the end of my bed. I had told her what happened the day after it happened.

"Like shit" I said pulling the blanket closer to me and covering my entire body.

"Have you told Nikki?"

"No, but I will tonight. I swear. I just know it's going to absolutely kill him."

"But you can't hide it anymore. He's going to be more mad than anything if you don't tell him sooner."

"I will. I promise, Al" I said slowly sitting up.

We sat there in silence for about 5 minutes before I started to speak up again.

"Have you heard from Ember recently" I ask kinda hesitantly waiting for her to answer.

"Actually yeah, I saw her at the store this morning. She was with some big, scary looking guy. I'm assuming maybe her boyfriend. She looked straight at me and gave me such an evil look" she replied.

"Why? You didn't do or say anything wrong" I said. "It's my fault" I finished saying.

"She is a bitch, Kat. Neither one of us deserve to have to put up with her shit. She only cared for herself. We both know that."

"I just don't understand why she was so mean to me that night. I was just looking out for her."

"Maybe it was for the best. She isn't worth our time, babes" she said moving closer over to me. "We just have to forget her and let tome pass on."

"I know" I said laying back down because of the pain I was in.

"I'll let you get some rest before Nikki gets back" she said getting up and walking out the door.

I closed my eyes to try to get some rest and forget about the pain I was in.

I woke up to the sound of banging on my door. I looked next to me seeing Nikki fast asleep. I didn't remember him waking me up with food once he got home, but maybe that was the medication fully kicking in. The banging on my door continued. How did he not wake up from this loud noise? I got up from the bed and made my way to the door. God, why did the door feel like it was so far away? I felt like there was some kind of force pulling me back so I could get the door. Once I was about to reach the handle to open it, a familiar face was in front of me. It was my dad. He had a beer in one hand and a gun in the other.

"Dad, what are you doing" I ask, whispering so I wouldn't wake anybody else in the house. "How did you find where I live" I finished asking. He didn't answer.

"Dad" I said waving my hand in front of his face. It's like he was looking straight through me.

He then lifted the gun up straight ahead, past my shoulder in Nikki's direction. I turned to see Nikki standing up with a needle in his arm, blood dripping down slowly. He looked like a corpse.
