Chapter 3: Moving Forward

It's been about half a year since I've met Nikki and the rest of the band. We've been getting a lot closer since the first time we met and promised to not let any real feelings get in the way, but I just can't help myself. And I'm starting to think neither can he.

Ember and Tommy broke up about a week ago because she had gotten really drunk one night and cheated on him with some dude she met at The Rainbow. Ember is my friend and all, but my heart breaks for Tommy because I know exactly how that feels.

*phone rings*

"Hey is this Kat? It's Nikki."

"Yes Nikki."

"Are you busy right now?"

"No, why?"

"Get dressed and be ready in 20 minutes. I'm coming to get you." Then he hangs up before I can even answer.

I head over to my closet and try to think of what exact Nikki had in mind that he wanted to do?? What should I even wear???

Eventually, I grabbed out a long sleeve black of the shoulder top with a pair of tight, light blue Levi's and my docs. I didn't do much with my makeup, but add a little color to my eyes and some lipgloss. I teased up my hair a bit less than usual and gave Nikki a call back. Before I could even call him, I heard a knock at the front door. I was the only one home, so I went to go get it.

I opened the door to Nikki wearing a half way buttoned up shirt, revealing his chest with a pair of leather pants and all black converse. He wasn't wearing much makeup either, which was the way I liked it. Don't get me wrong, I love it when he does himself up with his warpaint and intense makeup.

"Woah" he said smirking, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Right back at ya, Sixx" I say leaning into the doorway.

"W-well are you ready to go" he asks.

"Yeah, let me just grab my bag" I say picking it up from the couch.

After 20 minutes of driving...

We pull up to an empty parking lot. We're at the top of the hill where the Hollywood sign is.

We get out of the car and he grabs a basket out from the trunk.

"This is fucking crazy" I say looking up at the gigantic letters.

"I knew you'd like it" he replies.

We find an empty, clean spot to lay down a blanket and set out the picnic he had packed for us. Who knew Nikki Sixx could be such a romantic??

After what seems of hours of talking about anything and everything, he moves a little closer to me. My heart is starting to beat a little faster than usual.

"Kat. I know when we really first started to get to know each other, we promised each other we wouldn't fall for another, but fuck, I just can't help it. I really like you a lot."

I was speechless. I knew this moment was coming because Nikki and I were already spending more and more time together, even when we were hooking up. I just didn't want to admit it to myself.

"I really like you too, Nikki" I said moving my hand towards his on the ground, laying it on top.

"I've never felt this way towards anyone and I don't want to lose out on this opportunity." He says. "Kat will you be my girlfriend" he finishes saying.

"Of course I will, Nikki" I reply with a smile. The biggest smile appears on his face and he goes to grab my face with both hands and kisses me.

Once we get back to my apartment, I realize that both the girls are asleep. I decided that it would be okay for Nikki to stay the night considering that we're official now, I wouldn't have to pretend that I didn't actually not like him.

As soon as we got into my room, Nikki threw himself on the bed, letting out a sigh of relief.

"Tired, Sixx?" I said giggling while removing my shoes.

"No, just happy. I'm genuinely happy and I haven't been in a long time."

"What about the band? Don't they make you happy?"

"Well yeah, but this is different."

"Well then I'm glad" I sat leaning over to kiss him on the cheek.

Once we were finally ready for bed, he wrapped his arms around me from behind to spoon me. The feeling of being in his arms just made me feel so safe and I didn't want to ever move for them at all. I finally felt at peace and happy.
