Sang Eun Chae's P.O.V
I sat on my table and Hoseok came over. "Hey, you did the project right?" He asked me.
"Uh. Part of it." I answered. He gestured for me to give him the project. I nodded my head and showed him the notes.
Hoseok's eyes lit up. "This much? It's only been a day!"
I chuckled and remembered that Hanbyeol wasn't coming to school today, so that means... Taehyung! He's alone...
When he was looking at me, I took my chance to smile and wave at him. Even though I was nervous, I'm glad I didn't embarrass myself in front of him.
As I was thinking of him, I got interrupted by Hoseok, "I'm having a party at my house the day after tomorrow. What about you go there and invite all your friends over?"
The shock on my face was soon visible. I had never been invited to a party, and Ji Ah always told me to stay away from them. She always told me scary stories about the murder that happened there. It was enough to keep me away from them.
I nervously said, "Um! I don't know..."
He kept urging me to go to his probably dangerous party. "Come on! It's going to be fun!" I couldn't handle his begging, so I decided to agree and go to his party.
A sigh escaped from my mouth and I went through the notes I took. While I was looking at Taehyung, I didn't realize that Hoseok had edited and organized the notes in an order that would be much easier to put in the project.
"So, let's begin the actual project?" He suggested.
"I already drew the model," I said while holding up my notebook so that he could see. "We could work with that I guess," Hoseok responded to it. I was kinda raging inside because I had worked so hard on it and that was his only response, but I was relieved that it was okay.
My eyes went directly to Taehyung when I felt his gaze on me. He was indeed looking at me. Wait... Does he really like me? Of course not! I'm just an ugly and mean girl and he's a freaking hot and generous guy. There's no chance he actually has a crush on me. I should stop hoping.
He converted his eyes from mine to his phone, which is underneath the desk he's in and is held tightly in his large hands. "Hey, stop looking at him and focus on the group project." Hoseok reminded me of our idea.
It was an idea that I really didn't feel comfortable with, but I just didn't want to think of another one. Is it really true someone gossips because of their envious? That's... Actually really stupid. People shouldn't be mean just because another person has something they don't. Nobody's perfect.
That's also where Taehyung and Hanbyeol's idea comes in. Sharing the spotlight means when you aren't the main center of attention. The one who has everything is always focused on. The shadows around them are just... considered average. Nobody wants to be average.
All the project idea talk aside, who was Taehyung texting on his phone? I definitely saw chat bubbles. Oh right! It's probably Hanbyeol because they're talking about the project.
Why should I care? I'm not getting jealous, am I? It's work, Eun Chae! They aren't talking about lovey-dovey stuff. I still can't let that thought go through.
As I was dozing off in my own world, Hoseok was talking to some random girl, probably inviting her too. The bell rang, so the class is over... Wait! We got nothing done! Ohmygod.
I didn't think about it too much, because if I did I would go crazy and the due date for the project is literally a few days away.
Taehyung lightly tapped my shoulder and asked, "Uh... Eun Chae. Do you wanna head to the next class together?"
I was already freaking out, but why did he have to say that?? I blushed so much. He had a poker face. "Y-Yes! I have science, next class!" I said nervously.
When I went to my locker, he followed me. I took my books from it, and at that moment I realized... Our lockers are next to each other!! I really have to see him every day! That isn't fair. ;-;
I took a deep breath and the walk in the hallway to the science class took long, even though just yesterday it felt so short. I felt Taehyung's hands inching closer to mine. Just in a second, our hands were together.
