Chapter 2 - New friends ?

Okay , so i made it through to lunch , that's something right ? . I spotted Shawn across the room . He was surrounded by people laughing and joking, i mean i expected it , everyone loves him and wants to be his friend. Im worry sometimes people use him for his fame , but as long as he is enjoying himself , does it really matter . I still want him to have friends that care about him though .

I went and bought my food and sat alone at a table . I plugged my headphones in and tried to find a song to sing for music . I was suddenly brought back to reality by a tap on my shoulder . It was a girl " hi , my names emma " she said looking over . "Your listening to tides by jack and jack !! " emma almost screamed " uhh yeah , i really like their music " i said kind of awkwardly " well you have amazing taste in music , do you want to come over and sit with me and my friends " she said asking eagerly , "sure , why not " i answered.

I went over and sat at their table , there was 3 other girls and emma , their names were kira , meg and zoe . They seemed really nice , i think i might have found some friends . This really made me smile .

Everything was going amazing until Emma and Zoe screamed "oh my god , look over there , it's Shawn Mendes ! , i cant believe he goes to our school !" they all took out their phones and starting taking pictures and tweeting. I just half smiled , but inside i mean i wasn't upset or annoyed just a little impatient i guess , but over the years , i have learned to deal with that .

If they only knew , haha.

We all exchanged numbers and that little incident aside i didn't have too bad of. day . Before i knew it the last bell rang and it was time to go home ,finally. I picked up my bag and made my way to my mums car , i looked around first, just to make sure no one was watching then climbed in with Shawn . " so how was your day , mine was great , i met loads of new people and they all seem to like me !" He said slightly excited " eeh , mine was okay i guess , i met some friends but i have to do this assignment for music where i have to sing in front of everyone . Im really scared and i don't know what to sing " i said slightly deflated . All the sudden i could feel myself getting really emotional

we where on the way home and Laura was telling me about how she had to sing in front of everyone . She looked like she was about to cry , i cant stand it when she cries . It makes me want to cry , i lean over the car and give her a really big hug .

The second i do she starts balling. I know she had stage fright but i didn't know it was this bad , i just carried on hugging her , and whispered into her ear that everything was going to be fine and then she started to calm down.

///LAURA'S POV///

After my mini breakdown ,i look up , my eyes all blood shot and have black eyeliner smudged all over my face . I look at Shawn's shirt and its covered in black marks and tear stains . " I'm so sorry about your shirt , il buy you a new one , i'm just really scared , thats all . " I said " don't sweat the shirt i never liked it anyway , and when we get home il help you find a song " he said while giving me his big Shawn Mendes signature smile .

It made me feel a lot better and we eventually decided i was going to sing Life of the part by none other than him ! I already knew how the play it on the guitar and it was the song i was most confident singing anyway. It was perfect . To be completely honest , after some help i was actually a little excited about performing for the first time. Shawn even said he might find an excuse to come sit in on the class so he could watch me perform without being too obvious.

I did the homework i got , looked through , twitter , vine , youtube ect for a few hours and then put on Shawn's sweats and magcon hoodie . I live in his clothes . I thought about the day and slowly drifted off into a deep sleep.
