Days passed. Weeks passed. Months passed. Dixon still couldn't decide when he would pop the question, but he really wanted to. He decided he would ask Ivy the big question the very next time he saw her.
1:00 PM - The park - Dixon's perspective
"It's time..." I sighed to myself as I entered the park. "Once Ivy gets here, it'll be time to finally ask her..."
I reached into my pocket where I kept a small box hidden. I was ready to finally ask Ivy the question that was on my mind. I was ready to ask her to marry me.
Ivy came to the park a few moments later, and instantly saw me. "Oh, hey Dixon! I didn't expect to see you here!"
"Hi, Ivy." I smiled at her and came to sit with her on a bench.
"It's such a nice day, isn't it? Perfect weather for trying on my new sunhat!" Ivy told me. She was wearing a large black sunhat with a red ribbon on it. It looked very nice on her, and it was also necessary for her survival, as she was a vampire after all.
"Yeah! That hat looks great on you, by the way." I agreed.
"Aww, thanks!"
When Ivy smiled, I couldn't help but smile back. I decided it was time, so I reached into my pocket to pull out the small box, then got down on the ground and held the box up.
"Ivy..." I began as Ivy looked at me curiously. "...will you marry me?"
"I..." Ivy gasped. "Yes! Yes yes yes!!"
Ivy hugged me tight after putting the ring on, and we walked home together to give the news to Mom and my sisters. When we told them the news, they were all very excited for us and wished us luck on our upcoming marriage.
~One month later~
"It's finally time..." I said to myself as I was combing my hair. "Time for my big day..."
Mom came in to see me getting ready and she stood next to me.
"I'm so proud of you, honey. I just know that you and Ivy will be very happy together." she told me.
"Thanks Mom."
After talking to Mom, I went out and waited for Ivy to arrive. Once she came out, the ceremony began with all of our closest friends watching.
It was the best day of our lives.
