Days had gone by, with no sign of the elusive shoreline that we all longed to see. This day was bright, with very few clouds dotting the sky as we glided silently through it, the sun beating down on us constantly, only being countered by the cool breeze that whipped past us as we flew through the empty sky. My children were remarkably calm through the entire ordeal, which was a blessing in and of it self. As I sat atop my dragon, my black dragon, his golden brother soared high over head, enjoying the gorgeous weather that had struck the open sea on that day. I knew not how close we were to our final destination at the time, but in all honesty, the weather was far to pleasant to complain about our endless months on the wing.

"You guys like it up here?" I asked as I looked down at my two babies, who both seemed confused as to why they were many miles in the sky.

They both just looked at me with their wide eyes, looking to me for some form of answer that I couldn't provide them with. May flew along side her father, taking care to stay close to my children, all the while the other three dragons frolicked about amidst the wide open sky that stretched out as far as the eye could see. While May was a large creature, her already large size made Doron's all the more obvious, as the mere thrusted air from each flap of his wings nearly knocked her from the sky as she flew along side him. Her brilliant red and white colors flashed with the suns light as her small but powerful wings flapped to keep her aloft, all the while her father glided on the upward drafts of the sea below, only propelling himself forward occasionally. May suddenly folded her wings into her sides, and dove at high speed towards the water below, disappearing into the distance below, blending in with the water, however blue it may have been. Many minutes later, she returned to the same height as the rest, with water dripping from her scales and claws, and a small fish wedged in her jaws as she downed it with one snap of her jaws.

"Just wait until you're old and big enough to go flying with her on your own! I remember my first flight. It was incredible." I said as I bent down to kiss them both on the top of their heads.

Just as I raised my head back up to look out in front of me, Doron let out a roar that carried across the ocean, with the other four doing the same as they fell into line with him, while he pulled out in front to lead them on. I looked off into the distance, and felt incredible relief at the sight.

"The coastline. We're here." I said.
