Surprise!

Kate's POV

Quickly I hurried downstairs, my cheeks still covered in tears. I got to work writing riddles on paper which could be put all around the house, to eventually guide Leo upstairs to reveal the surprise.

I created a poster for the big reveal and stuck the pregnancy test onto it. Carefully I coloured little Love hearts around the edge and finished it off with a Big one right in the centre.

Next I took the riddles and placed them in various places of the house, dropping the occasional hint. Being careful not to crumple the poster, I brought it upstairs and taped it to the bedroom wall.

"I'm home Kate" shouted Leo a few hours later, I had got dressed and was ready for his arrival. "What's all this?" he asked questioning the slip of paper placed on a chair in front of the door.

"I thought we would have a little treasure hunt today Leo" I beamed, "ok then" replied Leo slightly confused "go on, read it" I encouraged.

"To find the prize at the end you must follow these riddles and they will eventually lead you to prize" Leo read out, "I am small and fragile, yet I grow a little each day, what am I?" He read out.

Leo's POV
This quiz thing had me seriously confused, the only small and fragile thing in the house other than Bear was Kates prized flowers on top of the mantle piece, I decided to look there first.

Sure enough they're was another little slip of paper there, "look around the room, you will find your next clue where Bear creates his masterpiece drawings."

I laughed "that one is too easy" I joked to Kate as I made my way over to the wall, Bear had a habit of making the bare wall his art easel.

A piece of paper was taped to the wall, quickly I unfolded it and read out the next riddle "It may be pink, it may be blue, we can find out in a month or two".

"Kate if your going to paint the walls at least paint them cream" I said wondering why that was such a big surprise. "I'm not paining the walls you dope, there's still more riddles upstairs."

I was baffled, I began walking up the stairs, halfway up I stopped as I noticed another slip of paper,

"Next clue is in somewhere quite empty, but may be quite busy one day" "What?!" I said confused, "go that way" Kate said as she pointed to the guest bedroom.

There was another slip of paper in here "You have nearly come to an end, but now I must stop and not pretend, go check the room at the end."

I figured this meant go check Me and Kate's bedroom, so I did. I opened the door and stepped into the room, Taped to the wall was a huge poster with writing, it read,

"I can't wait to meet you daddy"

I was confused, Daddy?

"Surprise!" Said Kate as she handed me the test smiling, Then I saw it, two blue lines, so faint you could nearly miss them. Proof of a living being that had been created by the two of us.

I burst into tears, I was overjoyed, I flung Kate into my arms and kissed her over and over again.

Tears streamed down our faces, I held my hand on her flat stomach and she placed hers on top of mine, our fingers intwined

"I can't wait to meet you too little angel" I whispered against her stomach.
