Leo's POV
The next morning I woke up early, the kids were going to their grandparents today. So I woke them and made them their breakfast, once they were finished I peered into Kate's room, she was fast asleep snoring softly.

"Thank you for having them" I said to Kate's mum Sally when I dropped the kids to her house. "Not at all Leonardo" have you heard anything on Ned and how he's doing in Germany?"

I was dreading this question, I took a deep breath "actually Sally," I started "Ned and Kate are having some trouble." "Is everything alright between them?" She asked "well, you see Ned is cheating on her, he didn't actually go to Germany at all, he was in London the whole time with his new girl" I finished my sentence with tears in my eyes.

She noticed the tears in my eyes and pulled me into a hug, I began to sob uncontrollably "he hurt her so much Sally" I sobbed "she doesn't deserve this and she's beating herself up over it, I hate seeing her like this, she needs someone to love her and never let her go"

"Shhh, it's ok Leo don't cry, My Kate is a strong girl but her heart is broken, but by what your saying she has everything she needs right with her, you."

Those words hit me hard, then it actually structured in my mind, My love for Kate was much more than any of those stupid "husbands", But if we were to have a relationship it may not work out and I might end up losing my best friend, I couldn't let that happen, I can't live without Kate.

Quickly I said good bye to Sally and made my way home, creeping up the stairs I saw Kate sitting on the edge of her bed looking through an old photo album, I recognized it. It was the album I had given her for her 35th birthday and she filled it with all of our pictures together, she ran her finger along one page and smiled.

Kate's POV
I smiled to myself at the picture of me and Leo on the titanic set, taken on the bow of the model of the ship with Leo giving me a piggy back.

I hadn't noticed Leo appear at the door and jumped when he knocked "sorry for disturbing you Katie" he apologized "can I come in?" I patted the corner of the bed and he sat down. I snuggled up to his safe warm chest "I'll never stop loving you my Katie bunny" he added "never ever ever".
