The lucky number

Leo's POV

"You ready to go Kate?" I shouted up the stairs, it was the next week, Kate had her first ultrasound with her doctor and an examination, just to check everything was okay.

"Coming" she shouted back as I saw her walk down the stairs. I could have sworn I saw a bump but Kate told me it was way to early.

"Thanks for staying with Bear Mia" I said to her as I gave her a hug, Joe had gone to his friends house for the day so she only had Bear to mind. "Your welcome Leo, good luck to you and mum today" she smiled back.

We got into the car and began our drive into London which usually took an hour depending on traffic but today the roads were quiet.

"Nervous?" I asked Kate as I took a left. "A little" she replied "more excited really" "me too, I can't wait to meet our baby" I said back to her.

Kate's POV

"Hi there I have an appointment with Dr Kelly this morning" I said to the woman at the reception.

"Okay, right through here please, we're quite quiet today" Saint Mary's was a small private hospital known for its "Lindo Wing" where many members of the British royal family were born. They were no stranger to delivering famous babies.

She guided us through a set of double door and opened a door to the right. "Thank you" I smiled to her.

"Hi there Kate, Leo it's great to see you" Dr Kelly shook both our hands. Dr Kelly was my usual doctor and a good friend of mine, she's very professional but an extremely kind and interesting person.

"Now I hear you have come in for an ultrasound, congratulations to the both of you. Kate you know the drill by now, if you just lay on the bed there please and I'll set you up.

I lay on the crisp white sheets with my shirt pulled up to expose my abdomen. Dr Kelly took my bloods, and then attached me up to the ultrasound machine.

Carefully she spread the warm gel onto my stomach. I gripped Leo's hand as she placed the scanner on my stomach and moved her eyes to the screen.

I watched the screen nervously, waiting for a little shape to appear. "What do we have here" Dr Kelly said to herself "oh my goodness!"

My heart suddenly started beating a million times a second. "Is everything okay" Asked Leo concerned.

"Yes, everything is perfectly fine, sorry for panicking you" she continued moving the scanner around slightly, focusing on one main area.

After a few moments she picked up her marker and pointed to the screen. Quickly I turned my body as much as possible.

"One, two, three" she said smiling as she pointed to three little black spots about the size of a walnut. "Congratulations you guys, you're having triplets!"

"Oh my goodness" I exclaimed as Leo threw his arms around my neck and kissed me over and over. We were both crying within seconds, I thought I was in a dream. The lucky number 3.

"Three little babies Kate," Leo whispered into my ear. "Three amazing beings that will grow up to be just as amazing as their mum".

A/N

Hehe I should be asleep cos it's 2am but let's be real a kleo pregnancy is worth missing out on a few hours of sleep.
