They're coming

Kate's POV
"Bye guys, have a nice day in school" I said as I kissed all three of the kids in turn, it was the last day of school before their Halloween mid term and I was 35 weeks.

Carrying three fully grown babies around with you is hard work and I felt like I was going to pop. "Thank you for dropping them" I said to Leo as I kissed him, "behave yourself for mum" he joked to my stomach.

Once they left for school I waddled back into the living room, I couldn't do much when I had a stomach the size of three watermelons

I couldn't settle to watch the television, I was distracted by the feeling of them moving around, over the past few days they had moved lower down my abdomen, which made my stomach droop quite a lot.

"Are you three ready to come out soon?" I asked cradling my stomach. "Mummy And Daddy can't wait to meet you, Your daddy is a bit nervous because he hasn't done this before but I know he will be amazing, he will be such a great role model, we love you all very much".

I looked up to see Leo standing in the doorway, back from dropping the kids. He was blushing after hearing what I said, gently he sat down on the sofa next to me and I gave him a kiss.

"Do you want anything?" He asked me, I was feeling quite hungry considering I was eating for four and often had weird cravings.

"If you don't mind Leo" I started "but I would really like some ice cream", I felt my stomach rumble as I said this.
"Coming right up" he joked as he gave me another kiss and headed into the kitchen.

While Leo was preparing my food I felt a sharp cramping sensation in my stomach, "Oww" I jumped slightly at the pain.

"Are you alright Kate?" Leo Asked, he had just come back from the kitchen. "Yeah, I'm fine, but I think they're coming" I tried not to sound panicked as this would have made Leo more panicked then he already was.

"I'm going to get your hospital bag" he said quickly as he sprinted up the stairs. I tried to relax myself taking deep breaths, we were finally going to meet our little babies.

"Ouch!" Another wave of pain washed over me, I tried to breath through the pain. By now I was definite I was beginning to have contractions. I had very short labors with all the others so I was certain this would be the same.

"I called your mum to tell her, she's going to meet us there" he informed me "Here Kate let me help you" Carefully Leo helped me up and I hobbled out to the car.

On the way to the hospital I had two more, much stronger contractions about 10 minutes apart. My knuckles were white as I gripped Leo's left hand while he drove with his right.

"We need a Doctor here please, she's having contractions" said Leo as he helped me into the hospital, quickly a nurse ran over pushing a wheelchair, another contraction washed over me as they wheeled me into a room.

I felt pressure build up in my cervix and then it released as I felt water trickle down my leg.
My waters were breaking.
