The gender reveal

Kate's POV
"I look like a bloody beach ball" I exclaimed to Leo looking down at my ginormous bump "and I'm only six months".

"I think you look like a very pretty beach ball Kate" he chuckled, I pulled a face at him. "I wonder what they're going to be" I continued.

Today was the day we would find out the gender, we were sat in the waiting room of the hospital, I was really hoping there would be a little girl as I knew how badly Mia wanted a little sister.

Thankfully there was only one other couple in the waiting room with us, they smiled at us when they entered and went off minding their own business.

"Kate and Leo" It was Dr Kelly at the door calling us, we stood up and followed her to her room, "first of all congratulations you two" she started, referring to the engagement.

We ran through the whole process of getting attached to the ultrasound. "You ready to find out?" She asked us, I squeezed Leo's hand and we both nodded, turning our heads to the screen.

"Ok let me have a look here, Oh lovely I can definitely see one little girl there," she pointed to one of the three, I smiled at Leo, Mia would get her little sister.

"And I think I spot a little boy on the other side" she pointed to the right side of the screen, "and finally," she examined the screen once more "well! Another little girl, she's slightly smaller then the other two but she seems fine".

"Congratulations guys! Do you want to hear their heartbeats?"
I nodded eagerly, carefully she placed the fetal Doppler onto my stomach and Leo lowered his ear to it. Badum, badum, badum "I can hear them Kate" he exclaimed. Dr Kelly attached her stethoscope to the instrument so I could hear too.

"Also so you know triplets are fully grown at about 36 weeks so it's usually nothing to worry about if they arrive early".

It felt amazing hearing them and feeling them move about, I was already 27 weeks, they might be coming sooner than expected.

Leo's POV
When we told Mia the news that we would be having not one but two little girls she was over the moon, even though she would be 16 years older then them she said she couldn't wait to teach them things and watch them grow up.

Bear and Joe were happy there was a boy too, Joe said he was going to teach him how to play video games and Bear said he was going to teach him how play football.

I laughed with Kate at their ideas of trying to teach a new born baby how to play the Xbox or kick a football.

It was going to be a busy house!
