Chapter Two//All About Her

Lucy was from Australia and had only come to South Korea as trainee four years ago.
She had struggled to learn Korean when she had first joined her company. She was now fluent and spoke very well, albeit with a slight accent. A slight accent that Namjoon found to be very cute and attractive.

She had studied dance since she was a child and people had always told her that she had a beautiful and unique singing voice. That had been what had drawn her company's recruiters to her after all.

She loved star gazing.

Her favorite restaurant was a new, organic eatery beside the mall.

Her favorite brand was Lulus.

Her favorite color was pink, and she hated the color green.

As Namjoon continued to see Lucy, he learned these things about her. Well, she told him these things. Not all at once of course. Lucy told Namjoon all of these things over time and a few things he was able to discern on his own. He preferred her to tell him though. He liked when she talked about herself.
After all, Namjoon could sit and listen to her talk to him for hours, and he usually did. He would take her back to his apartment and the two would just sit on the couch or in his room and talk. He'd admire her every word.
Her every move.
Namjoon found himself completely and totally enamored by her.

He loved the way she spoke, taking each word and thought into consideration before she voiced it. Her voice had an airy, soft quality. He sometimes thought her voice was maybe like the clouds, pure and light and beautiful. Her vocabulary was so wide and she spoke so intelligently, he never felt like he couldn't share his full thoughts with her. Sometimes he couldn't say the things he wanted to say in the way he would've liked to say them. With Lucy though, he could.

She always seemed to understand him. The two of them could talk for hours about current events and controversies going on around the world. She always spoke calmly and he never felt as if they were really arguing.
She just seemed so peaceful, so sweet, and so kind.

He really couldn't help but like her.
He liked the way she walked and talked. He liked when she sang with her sweet, clear, and melodious voice. He liked the way she laughed and the way she smiled. His smile would grow as he watched her smile cycle begin.
First, her lips would twitch. Then she'd begin to grin. Usually, she'd giggle slightly as she smiled. Then as her grin widened into a smile, her eyes would squint slightly and dimples would form near her mouth.
Sometimes Namjoon would act silly or crack cheesy jokes just so he could see her smile.

Namjoon spent all of his free time with Lucy, and sometimes he'd set aside something he was working on until later so that he could focus fully on her. This actually happened quite often. He'd leave his studio, sometimes forgetting to even save his work. Then he'd rush off to meet Lucy. When this happened he'd work late into the night and early into the morning trying to finish his project before his deadline. He didn't sleep when this happened.
It didn't bother him much though. It wasn't as if he was sleeping well the nights that he'd finished his work.
Lucy was everything that Namjoon admired and desired. She was intelligent and thoughtful, quiet, but fun-loving; talented and beautiful. She could easily cause his laugh and dimples to appear with her jokes and wit.
They'd sit and tell each other riddles as they laid on the carpet in Namjoon's bedroom. They'd laugh at the other's look of deep concentration as they worked through the puzzle mentally. Namjoon was always smiled when he answered her riddles correctly because she seemed so pleased with him.
Often when they spent time together, they stayed out of the public's eye for their own privacy. This meant that they would either order takeout, or Lucy would bring the food she had cooked. This was something that Namjoon appreciated immensely, partially due to his inability to cook a lot of foods, but mostly he just loved Lucy's food. He thought her to be an excellent cook.
He thought she was probably a better cook than his friend, Soekjin, at cooking. Of course, he didn't tell Seokjin this.

Every expectation and ideal Namjoon held for a partner, Lucy met. And she seemed to meet them with flying colors.

A month into the two of them speaking to one another, Namjoon asked Lucy to be his girlfriend.
"Of course I will Joonie! We'd have to keep it quiet of course. My contract doesn't specify whether I can be in a relationship or not, but I'm sure an open one would complicate things."

"Of course Lucy. I'd rather it be quiet at first, it'll be better for both of us this way." Lucy smiled as Namjoon felt his neck heat up, his nerves getting the better of him.

"Well isn't this the part where you, kiss me?" Lucy batted her eyelashes sweetly, innocently. Namjoon swallowed thickly as his eyes instinctively went to her plump, pink lips. He nodded slightly and began to lean closer to the girl. Lucy stayed still, allowing Namjoon to reach her first. He pressed his lips against hers and wasn't surprised when he found that they were soft and tasted like sweet mint. Namjoon kept his dark brown eyes closed, and he only opened them after Lucy had pulled away. Namjoon smiled shyly at her, not hesitating before he spoke his next thought.

"I love you, Lucy." Lucy smiled softly as Namjoon gazed at her.
He didn't question the fact that Lucy didn't react to his confession.

His other friends questioned it though. Of course, they all knew about Lucy, after all the couple usually met at his and Taehyung's apartment anyways. Taehyung often had one of their friends over to hang out when Namjoon met Lucy. They had often overheard the two of them laughing and talking.

Also, Namjoon talked about her quite often. He tried not to be annoying about it, but he had to fight the urge to talk about her constantly. He found the fight to be a difficult one.
Taehyung, unlike some of the other guys, didn't like Lucy from the start. He thought it distasteful and rude of her to talk constantly of herself, for every time he overheard the couple talking, it was mostly about Lucy.
Lucy's likes and dislikes.
Lucy's hopes and dreams.
Lucy's day.
To Taehyung it seemed as if Namjoon was significantly more interested in Lucy than she was in him.
That thought made Taehyung afraid for his friend. He knew that he needed to talk to Namjoon about his concerns, but he was waiting for the right time. He told himself that he could talk to him next time, in a more convenient setting, when they were alone, again and again.

Taehyung didn't know that his friend's time was running out.

A/N:

Oof I've been so busy with work and other things lately. I feel so sad because I haven't had time to write at all :(
I really want to get this book published this summer, especially since I'll be starting uni in the fall.
