"I can't believe you two kissed," Olivia sighs, falling back onto my bed. "Was it spectacular? Was he a good kisser?"

"I already told you everything on the phone last night," I laugh.

She called me as soon as she got home and bombarded me with questions which I attempted to answer. I was up until midnight telling her the details on a ten second make out session. There isn't exactly much to tell, however this is Liv we are talking about. She'll pick for the details with a fine tooth comb.

"I know, but it was amazing, wasn't it?"

"I hate to burst your pretty pink bubble, but it was just a kiss. There wasn't any fireworks. This is a romance movie. He kissed me. That's it," I sink into the armchair in the corner of my room.

"That sounds pretty dull if you ask me," Lucas is lying on the rug at the end of my bed flipping a pillow in the air.

"I guess you would know a thing or two about kissing," I share a look with Liv. She sits up excitedly.

"What do you mean?" Lucas questions as the pillow comes down and hits him in the face.

"Tell me Lucas, did you see fireworks when you kissed Andrea?"

"How do you know about that!" He jumps up abruptly and smacks his head on the bedpost. He rubs the top of his head with a soothing hand, still staring at us in shock.

"Oh come on," I roll my eyes. "You told me where you were going. I went in the fun house looking for you after you were gone for a while. You're not exactly James Bond."

"I can't believe you weren't going to tell us," Olivia accuses as she picks up the tissue box on my night stand and chucks it at him. "We're your best friends!"

"A man has to respect a woman's privacy."

"I'd hardly consider you a man. You're more of a baby sheep," Olivia reaches over and scrunches his curly tendrils between her fingers. Lucas swats her hand away.

"Could you take it easy on my manhood? Besides, Andrea seems to think I'm a real man," he wiggles his eyebrows making me turn my face up in disgust.

"I thought you told me you guys were 'just friends'. I don't know about you, but I don't go around making out with my buddies," I tease him based on his words from yesterday.

"Friends with benefits," he states.

I know Lucas wouldn't kiss a girl he wasn't interested in. He's not the type to sleep around and be a heart breaker. I let the subject go because he's obviously not ready to tell us about his true feelings. Perhaps he's waiting until it's a sure thing between them.

I'm torn from my thoughts when there in a hard knock at my door and John enters wearing his usual suit and blue tie.

"Quiet down with the gossiping. My office is just down the hall and all I can hear is your distracting chatter. I'm on the phone for work talking about things that actually matter. I'm in the middle of trying to come up with a solution for a big case and I can't concentrate with your obnoxious squealing. Either be quiet or go hang out somewhere else," John orders angrily. Before I can even apologize he slams the door. Lucas and Olivia look at me with wide eyes.

"I'm sure he's probably just stressed about work," Liv suggests awkwardly.

"I don't know what crawled up his ass and died, but I don't want to find out. Let's hit the road," Lucas grabs his keys and his jacket. We sneak down the stairs making sure we are extra quiet so we don't get yelled at again. I can hear John talking with someone on the phone. There is a rush of heated words, a few moments of silence, then it continues. Once we are outside we all relax.
