"Kayla! Kayla!"

I slowly open my eyes to the calling of my name. I just want to sleep. Why must people always disturb me?

"Come in," I groan. I wait for someone to enter, but no one comes. I call it a little louder.

"Kayla!"

What on Earth is going on? I rip my blankets off me. I listen closely to try to detect where the yelling is coming from. I almost have a heart attack when I see Lucas.

May I add that he is also dangling from my balcony.

You heard me.

"Lucas! What are you doing?" I panic running outside.

"I needed to talk to you. You weren't answering the door so I thought you were ignoring me because you're mad," he says gasping breath. "Now I can't reach the top of the railing and I'm very scared to climb back down."

I reach over the side of the railing offering him my hand. He grabs on and uses his other one to stretch to the top of the railing. Once clasped on he pulls himself over with an ungraceful thud.

"What is wrong with you!" I yell at him. "How did you even manage to get up here?"

"I climbed up that post up onto the roof over the porch and then I edged my way to your room where I found a little ledge to stand on. After that I jumped a short distance to grab on to the bottom of the balcony. That's when I realized I'm not very tall and have little T-Rex arms."

"You have a death wish!"

"It was honestly quite easy up until the part where I was dangling for my life," he shrugs.

"Why do you need to talk to me so bad anyways? I was trying to sleep," I inform him while still fuming.

"Sleeping? It's lunch time."

"That's besides the point, Lucas."

"Oh right," he shakes his head getting back on track. "I needed to explain about what happened yesterday."

"Are you serious? That's why you climbed up the side of my house like Spider-Man 2.0. Couldn't that wait?"

"Well I thought you weren't answering the door because you were mad at me! Plus your phone kept going to voicemail since it's on do not disturb. I didn't realize you were in hibernation like a freaking confused grizzly bear in summer!"

"I need my sleep," I roll my eyes pulling him off the ground. "I swear you have something wrong with your head. What was it you wanted to say?"

He sits down next to me on my bed, "I'm sorry we didn't tell you about the kiss. It was a very strange incident."

"A strange incident? Do you mean to tell me a poltergeist showed up and smushed your faces together?"

"No, but that would be a much easier explanation," he laughs and I give him a pointed look. "Right, anyways, I went to whisper something in her ear about the movie and she went to do the same and our lips somehow crossed paths and touched."

"I thought you were going to give me an actual explanation. Not some bullshit."

"I'm serious! For a second we were both stunned like what the fuck just happened. Then next thing I know we were actually kissing. It wasn't long. We both just got caught up in the moment. Afterwards, we were totally freaked out that the other person at a secret crush on the other. We discussed that was absolutely not the case. We agreed to forget it ever happened and never talk about it again. We didn't tell you because it was an accident that didn't mean anything. We didn't want you to freak out over something that was never going to happen again and didn't mean anything to either one of us."
