This is not an update, buuuuuuuuuuuut...
I think I have found one of the biggest plot holes in Wings of Fire.
I didn't make this chapter to criticize Tui, but yeaaaaaaaaaaah...
Anyways, here's the plot hole:
So you know how the IceWings are mad at the NightWings (or were mad until the spell, anyways) at each other because of the whole Foeslayer and Arctic incident? And you know how the IceWings were like, "YOU STOLE OUR FREAKING ANIMUS!"?
Well.
It turns out, they shouldn't have lost all of their animus dragons at all.
Think about it- Arctic's mother is Queen Diamond. Her niece is Snowfox.
Clearsight said herself in Legends: Darkstalker that in seven years, Snowfox would have a daughter, and both Snowfox and Queen Diamond would die. Well, Queen Diamond was an animus- which meant animus dragons ran in the family, which meant Queen Diamond's sister would've had animus blood as well.
Queen Diamond's sister then had Snowfox. Afterwards, when Snowfox had her dragonet, she passed it to her.
And then, she must've had dragonets, and then those would've had dragonets, and so on...
So Winter has animus blood. How weird.
Then my friend pointed out a hole in the theory: If animus dragons bred with non-animus dragons, the animus gene would've died out eventually.
And then I countered that point with: But NightWings didn't originally have animus dragons either, so wouldn't animus magic have died out for the NightWings too, long before Stonemover could be born?
Ha!
