Chapter Three
"I hope your neighbours like One Direction." Jess said.
Jess got off the bus at my house, and we cranked One Direction loud enough that it could be heard from anywhere in the neighbourhood (we tested it by walking to the furthest point in the neighbourhood and texting my sister and telling her to turn it louder if we couldn't hear it).
My mum got home and we attacked her with hugs because she would be the one driving us three hours to Toronto where the concert was. She made us my family's famous spaghetti for dinner and after dinner, Jess and I painted shirts so we would stand out at the concert.
"OH MY GOD!" Jess screamed as we sat on the basement floor.
I smiled, "he is so sexy."
"I know Harry is." Jess twisted my words.
Harry was Jess's favourite. His curls dragged her into his curse, as they did most girls. She liked the fact that he was hilarious and really sweet. He was known as the "cheeky" one of the group. She could stare at his boyish face for hours. People argued that he has the best voice in the band. He did get the most choruses, but Jess and I agreed that they were all the equally talented.
"I was talking about Niall." I said with a laugh.
Jess laughed back. "I know, but I'm talking about Harold."
"But I started the conversation."
"But I finished it."
I could see this was going nowhere.
"Let's just agree that they're equally attractive and both sex on legs. Yes?" I negotiated.
She thought about it. "Yea, I guess so." She laughed, and we continued painting our shirts.
Jess's shirt was black, and she had "Future Mrs. Styles" written in green and yellow on the front, and "I LOVE YOU HARRY!" written in orange and pink on the back, all in black light, glow-in-the-dark paint. Her shirt was also spotted with little white hearts everywhere. Mine was white, with "MARRY ME NIALL!" written in green and orange on the front, and "KISS ME, YOU'RE IRISH" written in green and orange on the back, also black light, glow-in-the-dark paint. I decided to stick to the Irish colour scheme with my shirt, to try and attract Niall more. It only made sense. They were both cropped to about the belly button, and slit horizontally up the sides. We each wore bandeaux underneath, Jess' orange, mine blue, because they were Harry and Niall's favourite colours.
It was 10:00pm. Time to go to bed and let our shirts dry overnight. Of course, bedtime and sleeptime were NOT, by any means, the same thing. We stayed up until 1:30 in the morning looking at pictures, listening to music, and watching videos. We needed to have One Direction MEMORIZED before this concert. So memorize them was exactly what we intended on doing. And we very much accomplished that.
We finally tried to go to sleep, but we were so excited that we didn't fall asleep until around 3:00am. Well, I didn't fall asleep until around 3:00am, I don't know about Jess.
I had the most amazing dream that night. When we went to the concert, Niall and Harry spotted us in the crowd, and kept looking at us when they were singing. Naturally, we were freaking out about that, but it gets better! When they were finished the song they were on when they saw us, they pulled us up on stage! And sang to us! We both started crying. They sang Save You Tonight, Jess's favourite song. Niall asked me what my favourite song was and I told him More Than This, and they sang it too, right to us. Then they sang Up All Night, all while we were still on stage. We sang along. Somebody must have seen us singing, so they brought out microphones for us. Apparently I didn't have stage fright in my dreams, so I just sang my little heart out. Then after the concert, Niall and Harry asked us to be their girlfriends, and we obviously said yes, and we lived happily ever after. Too bad it was only a dream.
