Chapter Nineteen

"Your flight's already paid for." She smiled.

I smiled and looked at my mum. She looked confused.

"What?" She asked.

"One Direction's tour manager called earlier and gave me his credit card number and said whatever flight you want, he'd pay for. I actually talked to him myself. Nice man. He said you could have first class. Is that what you'd like?"

"Yes please!" I exclaimed.

She smiled. "Can I see your passport, please?"

My mum handed it to her.

"One moment please." The lady smiled.

My mum looked at me. She looked disappointed, but then she smiled. I laughed and she echoed.

"Alright." The lady handed me my boarding pass and passport. "One ticket to London, England for a miss Ayley Gilbert." She smiled.

"Thank you." I smiled and took my things.

"Do you have any luggage?"

"No."

"Alright, then just go over there to the x-rays and wait by your terminal. You need to go to terminal G15."

"Thank you so much." I said.

"You're very welcome and have a wonderful flight. Thank you for choosing Air Canada." She smiled.

I smiled back and started to the x-rays.

"Are you not going to say goodbye to your mother?" My mum said.

I turned around and ran at her and hugged her as tight as I could.

"Be safe." She said. She started crying.

"Don't cry or I will too!"

"I'm sorry." She let go of me and wiped her eyes with her sleeve.

"I love you." She cried.

"I love you too, mommy." I could feel my own tears coming on.

"Here." She reached into her purse and pulled out her wallet.

"What are you doing?"

She got out her debit card and handed it to me.

"Why are you giving me this?"

"Once you get through security, I want you to buy a carry-on bag and fill it with things you think you're going to need while you're over there."

"Liam said they'll pay for everything for me."

"I don't care, I want you to eat something here and buy a drink and some food to take on the plane. Get an umbrella because it's always rainy in England, and-"

"Mum, I'll be fine." I tried handing her the card back.

She held her hand up. "And underwear and a jacket-" She continued.

"Mum. Stop."

"No, Ayley, you're taking it with you."

I knew there was no way I was getting out of this so I accepted my defeat and put the card in my back pocket.

"Thank you. You know my pin, right?"

"Mhm."

"Tell me."

"6350."

"Good. Text me with Niall's phone or something when you get there cuz if you use yours, it'll be mega expensive."
