Chapter Sixteen

I could see tears welling up in her eyes.

"What's wrong? Has the result shown up?"

Louis asked.

"Show me!" I grabbed the test out of her hand and looked at it.

"What! What does it say?!"

I looked at the stick. I dropped it. I fell to the floor, tears in my eyes. There, I saw two little pink lines side-by-side. It was positive. I was pregnant. I started crying.

"It's positive, isn't it."

Louis asked me.

I couldn't speak. I was so in shock.

"Please get Niall." I whispered.

"Yea, absolutely."

He said.

I could hear him call Niall over. "Niall, it's Ayley." He said. I heard a few hoots and hollers in the background before Niall came on the phone.

"I miss you so much."

He said.

I cried into the phone.

"What's wrong?!"

Niall panicked.

"I'm..."

"What?! You're what?!"

"I'm... pregnant." I whispered.

I heard Louis' phone hit the ground.

"Niall?" I said.

I heard Louis' voice in the background, "Dude! What the hell! That's my phone!"

Then silence.

"Niall?"

I heard Louis say. "Niall?! Niall!!"

"Louis, what's wrong?!" I yelled into the phone. "Louis!"

"Liam! Come here!"

I heard Louis call.

Everything anyone said on the other line was very muffled.

"Louis, please answer me!" I yelled, tears streaming down my face.

I heard someone pick up the phone.

"Ayley?"

It was Liam. "Ayley? Are you there?"

"Liam, what's going on?!"

"Niall's fainted. What happened?"

"Liam..."

"Yes, what. What's wrong?"

"Liam, I'm pregnant."

He was silent.

"Please talk to me, Liam!" I sobbed.

"Niall's?"

He finally asked.

"Yes."

He was quiet again. My tears kept falling as I waited for him to speak.

"Well okay, that changes things, uhmm..."

He said.

"Liam, I'm scared."

"Okay, calm down."

He tried to soothe me. "Where are you?"

"In the bathroom at school."
