~Shane's POV~

I caught Colt before he hit the floor. How many drinks did he have? I put his arm over my shoulder to support his weight and fished through my pocket for my phone. I dialed Lewis's number to inform him that I was bringing Colt back to school first. It was my duty as his dorm mate to ensure he got back safely. After hanging up, I hoisted Colt onto my back. He was so damned light for a guy! I walked towards my car and put him in the passenger seat first before going back to the driver's.

After awhile, we were back in our room. Thanks to Colt being so light, I scaled the wall easily. I set him on my bed, and took off his shoes and hoodie before I went to wash up and change. When I returned, he was sprawled across the bed. His shirt was halfway up his torso. I didn't switch on the lights so the room was dark, little light filtered through the curtains, but I vaguely saw a white strip of cloth under his shirt. What was that? I went closer to take a look; it was some kind of bandage cloth. Was he injured? I checked his chest. There were like, lumps... Colt had man boobs?! So the bandages were to hide his man boobs! I didn't know skinny guys could have them.

I looked at his face. The dim light that touched his skin emphasised its smoothness. His eyelashes were long and his fringe was covering one of his eyes. He had really feminine features. I reached forward to brush the hair out of his face. Something unexpected happened - his hair moved. I mean, it's normal for hair to move - duh - but all of it moved in one direction. My eyes widened. Was that a wig? Colt's hand reached up and tugged at that weird hair thingy. It was a wig. He pulled it and threw it to the side, revealing long, blonde hair. I felt as though all the air in my body was sucked out. Colt. Was. A. Girl.

I looked from Colt's face, to her chest, and back to her face again. Everything came rushing into my mind. I was so dense. Everything seemed to fit together like a puzzle. The physical appearance... The occasional high-pitched voice... What the-?! I realised that I was actually sub-consciously suppressing all my suspicions about Colt before. My analytical mind rejected the idea that it was possible a girl would be able to enter Cadaon, an ALL-BOYS' school. To think she was my room mate?! My mind was a jumble.

"Shane..." Colt or whatever her real name was, whispered. I jumped, thinking she was awake, when I realised she was just talking in her sleep.

I stared at her face, and noticed how attractive she was as a girl. I felt weirdly protective of her. My face was starting to heat up. Omg, this couldn't be happening. I realised that only both of us were in the room and she was unconscious. A girl, and a guy, alone in a room in the middle of the night. I pinched myself to stop my thoughts from continuing. I was a normal, hormonal, teenaged guy for goodness sake!

I started pacing about the room. The situation was finally sinking into my mind. She was a girl, in an all-boys' school. If she were to be found out, she would be expelled with a bad record. It was normal if I went to the headmaster and expose her, but did I want to? She might have had a reason to come here and I would be the one to ruin it! It would gnaw on my conscience forever if I ruined someone else's life! Wait. That Kev guy HAD to know about her identity! He covered her up! There might be something going on that I didn't know about. I decided to just pretend nothing happened and watch how the whole thing would go. For now, I had to protect her, and I started off my helping her back into her wig and carrying her back to her bed. She snuggled into her covers and I walked back to my bed. I tugged at my hair in confusion and decided to sleep and escape temporarily from the situation.

~Chloe's POV~

I smashed my hand into my alarm clock to stop it from ringing. It was so irritating! It ruined my wonderful dream. My head was throbbing. Stupid drink, it must have been that. I checked the time and realised that I was late for class! Shit. Shane was not in the room. He must have left. Why didn't he wake me?! I rushed and was out of the room in five minutes.

The first class was math. I ran to the room and entered, panting. All eyes were on me. Mister Anderson tsk-ed and I hurriedly walked to my seat. I turned to look at Shane but he wasn't looking at me. I focused on the lesson instead.

The next lesson was Biology, and it was a laboratory lesson. I had Shane as my partner but he seemed to be averting my gaze. He only replied my questions when necessary and I didn't know why the hell he was acting like this. I needed to question him. Soon, the bell rang and he was out of the lab in a matter of seconds. Damn was he fast. I ran after him and grabbed his arm. His muscles tensed under my grip. He spun around so quickly, I was almost knocked off my balance.

"Why are you hiding from me?" I demanded. I instantly regretted the tone I used. It was kinda harsh, and I felt like I doubled-standard. Here I was hiding my identity from everyone and I was demanding him to tell me what he was hiding.

"No, I am not!" He replied, loudly. What was with the huge reaction?

"Something's wrong with you," I said, more of a statement than a question.

"Nothing's wrong with me! Urgh!"

"Are you sure?" I wasn't sure if he wanted to share with me so I didn't probe much further, though it hurt that he didn't trust me enough.

I guess the hurt was shown on my face, because Shane's expression softened and he said, "Yeah,". He deliberated before continuing, "Do you remember anything from last night?"

That got me thinking. What happened last night? I had no recollection whatsoever. We escaped from school, and went to a club, then... -blank- Urgh, my head still hurt! It must have been the drink... "Yeah, all the way until when we were at the club. Man, the liquor's got my head messed up. It hurts and I can't remember anything else. Did anything happen?"

"Oh, nothing. Nothing in particular... It must be your first time drinking huh? It gets better over time, or should I say, you get more used to it. But I guess it's better if you stayed away from it."

"Okay," I replied. Yeah it sure was better. Thank goodness nothing happened. I didn't think I slipped up the night before, but I would never be so careless again to leave myself so open.

It was kind of awkward when we walked to the cafeteria, but everything soon went back to normal during lunch as we chatted.
