⁂⁂⁂
chapter twelve
-&-Moaning a little, I turned around in my bed.
I kept my eyes closed as I still felt exhausted from last night and just wanted to fall fast asleep. I reached my arms out underneath my pillows before relaxing all over again.
I could feel a little cold breeze on me which made me scrunch my face up.
That when a brush on my cheek happened, it felt soft and warm. It rubbed my cheeks in one motion, slow yet it went by as far as I wanted it to happen.
It made my whole body warm-up.
But when it left, I frowned.
I opened my eyes and looked around my room, blinking a couple of times as I let my vision become unblurry.
I moved up on my bed and looked at my balcony to see my doors wide open and the curtains were blowing into the room.
I moved the covers off of me and walked over to the set of doors before walking out of them. I hugged myself as the air became colder.
I looked around at the darkness that filled my back yard and the forest ahead.
Seeing nothing around, I turned around running a hand through my hair. I walked back into the room and grabbed both door handles and closed them, locking them this time.
I didn't want the wind opening them up again.
I walked back over to the bed, picking up the book that fell when I went to sleep and placed it back on the table stand. I yawned and laid back into the pillows, wanting to get back to sleep right now.
-&-
Walking down the stairs, I rubbed my eyes.
Yawning, I walked into the kitchen expecting to see my mom but she was nowhere in sight. There was a piece of paper on the table.
Walking over to it, I let out another yawn before picking it up.
She's gone to the market square with Andrea and that breakfast was in the fridge.
I heard a soft knock on the door making me drop the note back down on to my dining table. I wrapped my cardigan around me tighter as I walked up to the door.
I pulled the curtain at the window to see who was there but nobody was. Frowning, I opened the door and stepped out on to the porch in my slippers.
Looking up and down the road, I couldn't see anyone walking or running around from the house. Nobody was in sight.
I moved and felt my foot hit something softly making me look at the ground to come in view of the most beautiful red roses.
They were vibrant with color. They were so large and there were so many that fit in such at ting box.
I softly smiled as I bent down picking them up and smelling them. Heaven, they smelled like heaven. I noticed a card on the packaging with my name but in an old fashion writing.
Looking back one last time, I hoped to see someone about so that I could put a face to the roses. I don't get why someone would waste this much on me, it looked rather expensive.
Walking back into the house, I closed the door behind me as I walked back into the kitchen, getting ready to set them in a vase.
Taking the card off the packaging, my heart started pounding at the thought that came to my mind.
