chapter two

I was running.
I didn't know where.
It was dark but it was also cold. With the feeling of leaves being crunched underneath my feet, I know that I am in a forest.
I don't even know what I am running from, my legs knew only one thing and that was to never stop.
Hearing twigs and leaves snap behind me made my heart pound harder against my chest and my legs go faster.
I ran up to a thick tree and stopped, hiding behind it as I regain my breathing. I kept my head down and was on full alert for anything to come near me.
I seemed to have calmed my breathing down but my heart was pounding against my chest, faster and faster.
Hearing a twig snap from the other side of the tree, I took off running once again.
Instead of hearing twigs behind me, I heard a growl, an animal-like growl. It vibrated the floor as I ran.
I was so concentrated on the sound than my feet as I tripped over a massive tree root, falling to the ground with a hard slam.
I groaned as the pain shoot through my foot all the way up to my knee.
Flipping over, I looked down at my leg, lifting my dress up to see my foot with blood and scratches on it. Worse is that it looked to be broken.
I whimpered as my fingers lightly danced over it.
I heard a growl in front of me, making my whole body tense up, I couldn't even hear my own breathing, nothing but the low growls from this creature was heard.
I was shaking as I slowly turned my head around, attempting to look at this creature.
Looking towards it, my eyes well up with tears as the only visible thing on this creature I could see was the breaming red eyes.
I screamed as it leaped to attack me.

Shooting up, I gasped for breath.
Breathing in and out, trying to calm my breathing, I looked around to see I was in my new bedroom.
Nothing was here to harm me.
Closing my eyes, I placed my head in my hands, I have no idea where that came from but it has surely freaked me out.
It was just a nightmare.
Reminding myself, I stood up and stretched my bones, hearing a few cracks. Glancing, I looked back at the sleeping bag I stayed in last night.
I could have gone with the air bed but I gave it to my mom, I didn't want her to ache in the morning.
Besides, the floor wasn't as uncomfortable as I thought it would be.
Stretching my arms, I heard a commotion coming from downstairs. Loud talking, movement of people walking around.
I walked out of my room, down the stairs only to stop as two men carrying some furniture pass by me. Looks like her wardrobe from our home back in Seattle.
