It felt like millions of emotions entered Evelyn's body when she stared into those eyes.

  They were as bright as the ocean, they had something in them that made her want to stare in them forever.

  The way he was staring right back into hers made everything inside her do flips, her heartbeat changed from panic to nerves and not the nerves she was preparing for,

She liked the way he was looking at her for some reason.

  She thought she would have run away with all these eyes on her but when she looked into his, it was like they weren't there.

It was like they weren't there.

   "Sorry for my son's tardiness,"

  Hearing Mr. Jackson's Voice made her snap out of her daze and look around to see everyone still glancing up at them before looking to the stage again.

Some eyes were still on her.

   "We hope you enjoy tonight and we hope to raise enough money,".

Cheers in the room erupted as Evelyn turned to Conner who looked back at her.

   "Let's head down before awkwardness sets in," he whispered in her ear.

She nodded and gave him a small smile.

  She could help but glance to were those ocean eyes were and happiness filled her when she saw him still staring at her.

  Conner placed his hand on her back and led her to the staircase. "Sorry for all the staring," he said which made her giggle.

   A loud, deep growl came through her ears making her jump and look around to see where the noise was coming from. She looked at Conner and noticed his face paled a little and looked rather shocked.

His hands moved from her back to her arm, keeping her steady down the steps.

   "What was that?" she asked.

She thought it may have been thunder but looking to the door's, she didn't see any rain.

  She placed her hand on the railing and picked up her dress with the other one. Conner stood by her, in case she falls.

   "I-I don't know, old castle," he answered.

With every step she took down, she could still feel eyes on them.

  She couldn't help but look back in that direction and her eyes didn't meet those ocean ones, they were gone.

As they reached the bottom, Clara rushed up to them in her own dress.

  Ignoring her son, she pulled Amelia into a hug. "You look so great honey, your hair, that necklace, everything looks amazing," she said pulling back.

The smile on her face was really big, like really big.

   "Thank you," Evelyn breathed out.

Conner placed his arm out which she held on too, letting him lead the way.

They made their way past people who stared but looked away when they got caught.

Price for being late.

   "Look who made it," Trevor said once he set his eyes on the pair. Conner tensed up once he saw his brother there, Evelyn felt that.

   "Yeah okay," Conner sighed looking defeated.
