This was requested by petloverkate1 .Hope it's ok! Warning ⚠️: This story is about bullying which may be triggering for some. Set whilst Alan and Kayo were still at school.
Alan sighed heavily as he trudged towards the school gates. It was the start of another terrible day. He'd rather be on a rescue mission with his brothers. Hell, he'd rather be caught in a planet-wide sandstorm on Mars! He'd rather be anywhere but here. School was terrible, and the people didn't make it any better. Along with the never ending taunts about his "mysterious" family, sometimes the bullying got physical. Alan spent his days trying to hide from his tormentors either in empty classrooms or simply by wandering around aimlessly trying to avoid them. Sometimes his stategies worked, sometimes they didn't.

Roughly halfway through Design and Technology, the teacher left to go print something from the office. Outside, Alan tried to remain cool, but inside he was freaking out. Without the teacher, he'd be undefended. Not that the teacher did much defending.
It took a maximum of 5 seconds for chaos to decend. And probably about 10 more seconds for the first paper aeroplane to hit him in the back. Alan held back a sigh. Today's game: use the freak for target practice.

Finally, it was the end of the day. Alan practically ran for the school gates but someone stuck their foot out and he fell, sprawling out on the hard stone floor. He heard laughing and gloating above him and braced himself for the oncoming punches.
But before they came, he heard a familiar voice.
"Beating up my best friend, are you? You won't be laughing." Kayo Kyrano stood at the end of the hall, hands on hips, glaring.
The bully leader, Tom (yeah, I named him after Tom Riddle in Harry Potter) scoffed. "What are you going to do about it, girlie?"
Kayo smirked. "Beat you up." With that final word of warning, she launched herself at Tom. He tried to raise his hands in defence but she was too quick. Within a matter of minutes, he was unconscious. One of his brainless followers, Peter (as in Peter Pettigrew) tried to go and help but Kayo kicked him in the chest and he fell against the wall. The crowd that had gathered during the exchange quickly scattered and soon the hallway was empty. Alan stared in both shock and awe as Kayo stood up and dusted herself off. She was barely out of breath.
"What... what are you doing here?" Alan struggled to form a coherent sentence.
"Picking you up from school, like I said I would. We were stood outside but you didn't show up. And let me tell you, those morons are lucky that it was me that came to find you and not Grandma. She'd lose her head." Kayo stepped towards him and her expression softened. "How long has this been going on for?"
Alan shrugged, avoiding eye contact.
Kayo sighed and hugged him. He stiffened slightly. She pulled away and smiled. "C'mon. Let's go home."Um... hi? Sorry this took so long and it's still crap. Oh well. I'm trying to get back into the habit of updating regularly but yeah. Anyway. Are you guys excited for the next part of season 3? There's a 99% chance Jeff will come back. I hope there's some Kalan in it!
