First Kiss Pt 2

Kayo sauntered into the lounge, hands in pockets, trying to act perfectly normal and as if she hadn't just kissed her boyfriend but then chickened out. 'Honestly, Kayo, what the hell were you thinking?' She jumped down the steps and sat on one of the sofas as nonchalantly as possible. Virgil- who was sat on one of the other sofas- raised an eyebrow at her. "What's wrong?"
"Hm? Oh, nothing."
Virgil scoffed. "You don't sound very convincing."
Kayo sighed. "I might've messed everything up between me and Alan."
He nearly choked. "After all that effort to set you two up? What happened?"
"I kissed him."
Virgil burst out laughing. "And that's a problem because?"
Kayo glared at him. "Because it was our first kiss and we were meant to be taking things slow!"
"Well, firstly- Alan's been completely besotted with you since the day you two met. Do you think he'd be complaining if you kissed him? Trust me, it's all gonna be ok. Oh, and speaking of Alan, he's behind you."
Kayo jumped and spun around. Sure enough, Alan was stood behind her, looking slightly nervous. Virgil smirked at the pair of them. "I'll leave you two alone."
Alan sat down awkwardly next to Kayo. She took a sharp breath and prepared herself. "I'm sorry."
Alan raised an eyebrow quizzically. "For what?"
"For kissing you."
"Who said I didn't enjoy it?"
Kayo met his eyes and smirked. "I made a big deal out of nothing, didn't I?"
"Yep." Alan grinned and, spontaneously, leaned over and kissed her.
When they finally parted, they were both smiling like lunatics. "Wow." Alan muttered.
Kayo laughed breathlessly. "Yeah."
"Wanna do that again?"
"Is that even a question?"
This was long overdue.
