The news travels fast. When I heard that Chris' partner who was supposed to be dead, was found alive, I felt really happy. The boy was young and talented and it was me who told Chris and Piers where to look for Sherry and Jake. The thing was, Piers never told anyone what happened down there. Of course there were the security footage but still.. It's better of you hear it straight from the source. Our higher-ups asked me to go to talk to the boy but they warned me about Chris. He was really overprotective when it comes to this young soldier. So I went to buy a chocolate for him, cause you know.. Didn't want to go there with empty hands when I was about to make him relive the nightmare he went through in the underwater facility. When I arrived to the hospital I asked where I could find the young soldier and I was pointed to the right direction. I knocked on the door and came in after I was allowed to. He looked at me, clearly in surprise. "Not the one you were expecting?" I said and he looked down at his tied hand. "What did you do?" I asked him and he groaned. Really nice and friendly guy, right? "I had a nightmare. Bad one and I wanted to run away from the hospital." He said and then he looked at the chocolate in my hand. "For me?" He asked and I laughed at the little spark in his eye. He must have been happy to see something that is not a hospital food. I put it down on the small table next to his bed and sat down on a chair next to him. He looked at me and his lips moved into a thin line. "Why are you here?" He asked and I almost didn't want to answer him. "Higher-ups sent me to talk to you about what happened in the facility."
"I'm not gonna talk about it." He bit back and I sighed. "I know it must be hard to talk about it."
"No I meant that I'm not gonna talk to you about it." He said and huffed. I was confused. Yeah we barely knew each other but still. "What? Why?"
"You attacked Chris when we were chasing Ada Wong." He said and pouted a little bit. Was he serious? He was mad at me because I didn't let Chris kill Ada? I rubbed my face before looking at him. He didn't look that bad if you considere how big dose of the virus he took. "Wish Chris could be able to look at me the same way as you." He whispered and I blinked. "Hm?"
"All I see when he looks at me is how guilty he is for what happens. And let's be honest I'm not a good looking guy anymore." He said and I felt sorry for him. "Don't pity me. I don't need that." He growled before looking at the chocolate again. "Could you please..?" He asked me and I fed him the chocolate a little bit. "So what happened? I promise I didn't want to hurt Redfield." I said and he rolled his eyes. "What do you want to know?"
"Everything you are willing to tell me." He asked me for more chocolate before he started to talk. I won't lie, I had goosebumps the whole time he was telling his story. I felt sorry for what he had to go through. When he finished he sighed deeply, tugging on cuffs on his left hand. "Thank you for telling me Piers. I know it was hard." He nodded slowly at me. "Are you planning to go back to the BSAA?" I asked him and he looked up quickly. "I would love to but when I asked Chris, he didn't look like it could be possible." He mumbled and I smiled. "I can help you to train when Chris will be busy. I can help you with that." I said and he bit his bottom lip. "Thanks uh.. That would be nice of you. But you don't have to do that. I know it will be a lot of work." He said but I waved him off. "Don't worry about it,really." We then talked for a bit more before he told me Chris was coming soon so I bid him goodbye, giving him my phone number before I left.

Later that day I've got a call. Unknown number. "Leon Kennedy speaking, who is it?"
"It's Piers. Piers Nivans." Well.. He is the only Piers I know. "Hey Piers, what's up?" I sat down on a couch in my apartment. "Um.. I know it's.. Well.. Chris was here today to visit, as you know. But he got called in by Jill. And then he called me he was sent on a mission." He said and I hummed. "A mission hm? And what do you need from me?" There was a moment of silence before he sighed. "The doctors said I will be able to walk around the hospital garden a bit and then they will took all the bandages off. I was thinking if you maybe could come here to be here with me?" He asked carefully and I thought it was kinda cute and sad at the same time. Was he really all by himself without Chris? "If you can't it's okay. I could ask Sherry but then Jake would come too and he is an asshole." He said quickly and I laughed. "I will come, it's not a big deal." I said and he sighed. In relief I guess? "Could you come tomorrow? They won't let me out by myself." He whined. "Sure thing. I will come, don't worry." I looked out of the window. It was so dark outside already. "You should go to sleep Piers. I will see you tomorrow."
"Thanks Mr. Kennedy." He said and I laughed. "It's Leon. Good night Piers." He hummed before the line was dead. It will be interesting ride with this one. A nice change in my life tho.
