It was a week after all of that happened. Chris kissed Piers. That pup finally got kissed by his captain and man, was he happy about it. It looked like everything will be finally fine but.. This was Chris Redfield. He had to leave for a mission just the day after. Again, without Piers. The HQ didn't think he is ready for a mission yet. Well he took that but I knew they just didn't want him there. They still think of him as a monster. As a B. O. W. So he closed himself inside his room, sulking. "Jake you should talk to him." Sherry said while Clair was preparing the coffee. Yeah we were at Redfield's place. Claire invited us because she too was lonely without Chris in this huge house. "Leon is there with him." I said while munching on my cookie. They both glared at me. "He is your best friend." Claire said. "He is his only friend." Sherry huffed. I rolled my eyes at them. "I'm done with this ladies. I'm done watching Piers sulking because of Chris." I put my mug with the coffee down and sighed. "I told him, this man is not for him. I told him he will fuck him over again. And see? He didn't even talk to the HQ more. Convince them to let Piers join the mission." I said and the girls both looked down. "He didn't even call.. Again. And it had been a week."
"Leon said he didn't even go to train. That he said it's pointless." Sherry said and I felt more and more angry. Yes I cared deeply about Piers. I didn't even know that I could care so much about someone who is not Sherry.. And myself. I took out my phone and dialed his number. He picked up, to my surprise. "Piers, it's Jake. Wanna come over to Clair's? Sherry is here too. Take Leon with you too. We can train together in the garden maybe?"
"I don't want to Jake." He said any I groaned. When he was like this, it was pointless to talk him into anything. "Fine man. If you wanna be all alone just because Redfield is on the mission, fine by me. But you explain it to the girls." I smirked as he whined. At the end he agreed to come over. He said Leon would be home soon and they will come together. "They will be both here soon." I said and the girls grinned. They didn't know he agreed just to prevent their wrath. So the girls went to prepare some snacks and I went for a small tour around the house. I stepped into some room that looked like an office. Or work room. I look at the desk and hummed. Chris's desk. A lot of papers he decided not to do. Piers was doing these things for him. There was a few frames with photos. Chris, Piers and the guys they lost. Chris and Piers when Piers started at the BSAA. Chris with Claire and Jill. And then there was just Piers. He was holding his rifle while looking really serious. Well like Piers always pose. He also looked so proud in the BSAA uniform. Damn, how I wished they would just take him back. Two hours passed and the guys were nowhere to be seen. They weren't picking up their phones. "I'm worried. It wouldn't be so weird if it was just Piers but it's Leon too." Clair said as we all tried to contact them. Sherry was walking around the room in circles, making me nervous a lot. "Maybe they are just stucked in a traffic." I said but I knew it was a bullshit. "Yeah for two hours Jake." Sherry rolled her eyes before finally sitting down. After another two hours I was gripping my phone tightly. Piers where are you? I went through so many possibilities in my head about what could happen. "Let's go out to look for them." Clair said. "And do you know where to look?" I asked her and she shook her head. What if Piers lost control while being depressed. What if he hurt Leon? No no.. Piers would never hurt any of us. He knew how to control around us. And even if he couldn't, Leon is capable of protecting himself. And when we thought we will go crazy there was a loud banging on the front door. I jumped up to open them and sighed in relief as I saw Piers with Leon. "Where the fuck were you and why don't you pick up your phones!?" I yelled at them but they just pushed by me inside the house. The girls went to hug them but Piers pushed them away and went straight into Chris's work room. "The fuck Nivans?" I started but Leon shook his head. As Piers went back he was holding some bag. "What is happening?" Clair asked as she looked at Chris's bag for emergency during a mission. "We are going to China." Piers said. "Jake I need you to come with me." I looked at Leon and he nodded. "Again.. What's wrong?"
"Chris, Jill and their group are in danger. Maybe captured and holding as hostage already." Leon said and I looked at Piers. "And you want to go to look for him.. All over the freaking China? No man. This is not a good place for you." It happened in China. The whole incident with the c-virus. "Jake please he needs me. Us. I can feel it. I need you by my side.. And if anything would go wrong with me, your blood or your gun." He said and I shook my head. "You are the only one who would do that for me. If I would go bad.." He pleaded and he was right. I would never be able to let him be one of them. "Fine.. Someone has to look out for you." I said and the girls pouted. "We are going too. Chris is my brother, I need to help you find him."
"Who told you what happened?" Sherry asked and I noticed how Piers looked at Leon. "It was Ada Wong. She told Leon. She said she saw the people who Chris was sent to kill, taking them away. They were pretty beaten up." Piers said and I frowned. Ada Wong? "You trust this woman?" I asked Piers and he nodded. "Leon trusts her and I trust Leon so.." He said and I sighed. "Does HQ know about your little plan?" Claire asked and of course, Piers shook his head. "Okay then.. So we are going to China." I said and Piers was already walking out of the door.
