Chapter 24

Bella is on the top

Bella's POV

I woke up, with soda playing with my hair.
"Good morning soda"
"Good morning Bella"
I smiled started to get out of bed
"Imma change in the bathroom okay." So did I changed into high waisted jeans and and white crop top. I did my make up which wasn't much, I fixed my hair, and brushed my hair.
When I walked to my room soda was still in bed looking at all the pictures that were on my wall.
"What are you looking at?" I said with a goofy tone
"Oh, hey, I was just looking at this picture off you and this guy, and also a picture of this group playing baseball. Who are they?"
I sighed
"That's Benny my boyfriend, he taught me how to play baseball, we had our own gang, we would wake up everyday at 8:00 am to play ball at the sandlot. Me and Benny were neighbors, so I would pick him up and we would all meet up at the sandlot. I was the o my girl who cared about baseball. For Benny, baseball was life. I have big hopes for him. He was my first love. Helped me with all my struggles in life. I miss him, we had great times together, I remember when he took me out on a date and he gave me a promise ring." I started to tear up.
"And we would always have camp outs with the gang, and we would tell each other funny stories, and we would play truth or dare." I started balling my eyes out.
"Oh Bella I'm so sorry"
"N-no it's fine"
"No it's not, tell me what it's like in California, I've never been" soda said trying to make things better
"W-well, where do I start, the ocean is so beautiful, I would go there sometimes to watch the sun set. Benny took me in a date to the beach, that made me so happy. The weather felt like it was summer everyday. I loved it. I would play baseball as I said. But many girls thought I was weird because I didn't like girly things, I liked more guy things, well I did hang out with guys my whole life. Most girls would bully me, and say that I wasn't important to the world, and that Benny didn't deserve me. That was when I started to cut, I attempted to kill my self but my older brother Elijah would always save me. I love him so much, he always cared so much about tommy and I, he would comfort me all the time. I had a hard home life to. My dad would hit me all the time, every night I would have a new scar or bruise. My mom didn't give 2 shits about me. The only thing that kept me alive was the gang, Benny, Elijah, and tommy. My parents told tommy and I that we were adopted, they told me that when it was my one year with Benny. I was depressed. I had to leave California and find my real older brother. Steve, I don't remember that much. I haven't seen him since I was 5. But ya that is kinda my life story but you can't tell no one, please, that's why it's hard for me to talk about California. To many memories" I rambled a whole lot. Soda looked real shocked and sad.
"Bella I'm real sorry"
"Don't worry, today is a new day and we have to got to church and hopefully Steve will hangout with me later"
"I'm going to go change into some clothes that Steve has and then we can go."
"Great let me wake up beast."
With that I left to Tommy's room.
"Good morning beast"
"Good morning"
"You were awake already."
"Yes, I heard you taking to soda about home"
"Oh, well he looked at the picture I had, but anyway, get ready we are leaving in 5"
"Okay"
He got ready, and I went down stairs to make breakfast.
I made some eggs, bacon, and toast, I put it in the middle of the table. Soda sat down and so did tommy.
"LETS EAT!" I said
We all grabbed food, and ate like animals.
Once we were done we headed out the door to church.
"Sodapop, do you know where church is?"
"Yea"
Tommy and I followed him. Thankfully it wasn't far, and we got there on time.

Church ended and soda, tommy, and I walked home.
"So what's your story soda?"
"Well I am a greaser and my parents died a year ago sadly. I live with older brother Darry and my younger brother ponyboy. They usually get i to fights and I hate it, they always want me to pick a side. Anyway, I am best friends with Steve we've know each other since elementary school. We have a gang they usually hang out at my house. In the gang we have
•Darry he is the oldest and he is very mature and responsible for his age and is real tuff, his been stressed ever since mom and dad died
•two-bit his name is Keith but he prefers two-bit, he is the clown of the group, and always makes you happy, he always has a smile on his face no matter what, well only if something is wrong. He always gets drunk, but that's okay. He will always make jokes too, but most of all he is in love with Mickey Mouse, he is glued to the tv, when Mickeys on. He is also a tuff greaser
•Steve your brother, he loves chocolate cake, if he could he would marry it, i always hang out with him, he also works at a gas station with me it's called the DX. Steve has a girlfriend called Evie, she is so nice, I think you guys would be great friends. Steve is also real strong, he always tries flipping and lands on his face. He can be real scary when he wants to.
•Ponyboy he is my kid brother, he has real potential. He nothing like the gang, he loves reading, writing, movies, and watching sunsets. And he always smokes. He is also real smart to he is 2 years younger then you, but he was so smart that he is in sophomore year. He is not that strong but he is a real fast runner, he is on the track team. I'm proud of him, but he always gets into trouble with socs and Darry.
•Johnny, he is the pet of the gang, he has a real hard time at home, his parents always beat him, he is also real smart. Sadly he always gets jumped by socs, and he is always scared. He is your age 16, he is real quiet too, he smiles here and there but not much. He also loves smoking. But most of all he is sweet and caring.
•Dallas he goes by Dally, he is a trouble maker, always goes to the cooler and gets into fights, he is real cold hearted, but he has a soft spot for Johnny, he has never loved nobody, maybe that's why he is cold, he smokes too and is stubborn. But sometimes nice.
That's the gang, they are family, I don't think I would survive, if I wasn't with them.
I also had a girlfriend Sandy, I really loved her, I was actually going to marry her, but she got pregnant with another guys kid. That day Steve introduced me to you. I thought you were real nice, you have so many talents, and you are real beautiful. Tommy is real nice too, I feel like the gang will enjoy a little ninja running around. I also dropped out of school, to help out with bills. Well that is my story" soda said, his life seemed nice I guess, he has a gang that looks out for him, and that's amazing. I feel bad for him too, with sandy, his parents dying, his brother fighting, and working at the DX, that must be hard.
"Will I meet the gang?" I said trying to fill in the silence.
"Of course you will"
"What about me?" Tommy said
"You will too" Tommy smiled.

We finally got to my house, Steve was watching something on the tv.
"Heyyyy Steve"
"Hello Bella, soda, and tommy. How was church?"
"It was good" soda said with a smile
"That's good. Bella and tommy, I want you guys to meet the gang today"
"Yay, Soda told me all about them on our walk"
"Well today you are going to meet them"
I was so excited, I really want to meet them. I wonder how they look like, or what will they think of me......
