Y/N
All I remember was Levin screaming at me for something I did and Liza just standing there, with a sly smirk on her face."Y/N, I am so sorry," Malachi said as he just hugged me, while I just was sitting on the ground, feeling the dry tears on my face and my heart aching. The pain was really affecting me but I didn't dare say a word, but just remembered what happened.
A few days had passed since Malachi's party and I was beginning to feel better. Just the fact that Levin was by my side and hanging out with me more, made me happier. Although it was bad since I still had feelings for him, I couldn't help but hang around him.
Levin invited me to hang out with him to shop at the mall. Shopping isn't really my thing but, if it's with him I'll do anything.
Just as I was heading there, I saw a familiar blonde hair guy standing at the entrance of the mall and I smiled, as my heart skipped a beat and I parked a bit far away from the entrance.
I speed walked towards him but just as I was about to call his name, there was a familiar reddish-brown haired girl. I stopped walking and just stopped, as I felt almost upset by this.
Too late, Levin turned around.
"Hey Y/N.." Levin said with a monotone voice and just quickly turned back around.
I was confused and just headed my way over there, as I saw Levin and Liza silently standing around.
"Uh.. Hi Liza," I greeted as I didn't want to be on bad terms with his girlfriend.
Suddenly, Liza seemed shocked when I greeted her and just had this weird look in her eye, then was suddenly trembling. She backed away and Levin soon wrapped his arms around her.
I was about to say something before Levin had this angry look in his face. "For a second, I thought you didn't actually do that. But, maybe I was wrong."
"Wait what?" I asked confused at this overall situation, as Liza was just cowering in fear as Levin let go of her, and went towards me.
"Why did you do this?" He asked with a really disappointed tone. "I thought you two would get along just perfectly. I know you're not the type of person to get along with just anyone but hitting her?!" Levin said as he started raising his voice.
"What?! I would never hit her?" I said as I couldn't believe what he was saying.
"Don't lie to me! Didn't you just see how she reacted?! She started trembling as soon as you came! She even has bruises on her arms!"
Levin went towards Liza and gently rolled down her sleeve, as my eyes widened at how horrible they looked. "You thought you would get away with this?! Even threatening her?!" Levin begin shouting at me. "I trusted you! We're best friends, or we were supposed to!"
My heart started aching and I couldn't find the words to say 'it wasn't me.' 'I didn't do that to her.'
But just seeing the sight of him yelling at me and full of anger, I felt almost..
Heartbroken and afraid.
Yeah we got in fights before but it's never been this bad.
Whatever he was saying to me, I couldn't hear. I just felt my spirits lowered and the environment around me fading away.
I felt suffocated and like I was almost drowning.
I had no idea what I did wrong but all I wanted to do was apologize for whatever I did since he was yelling at me. All I wanted to do was wipe that angry look on his face.
It only took a few words to break my heart in a million pieces.
"Maybe it would've been better if we didn't see each other again after you ran away!"
I felt shattered, like a broken vase that was unfixable even if you tried to glue it back up.
I just locked eyes with him, as he had tears coming out of his eyes in anger. "I can't believe you would betray me like this. I don't even know who you are anymore."
He just walked away from me with Liza, as I saw the look Liza was giving me.
A small smirk of victory.
I didn't know how long I stayed at the front of the entrance of the mall just sitting on the bench. I just couldn't process everything that was going on.
What did I do that was so wrong?
Did I do something?
Was I not supposed to do that?
The tears were already flowing and I just silently cried with my hood up, not wanting to attract attention by mere crying.
"Y/N!"
Malachi.
"I've been texting and calling you! I was so worried since Levin told me that he didn't care what happened to you and-
He stopped as soon as he saw what a mess I was right now and just kneeled in front of me, putting his hands on both sides of my head. "Hey, look at me."
I slowly turned my eyes at him, as I saw how worried he looked.
"What.. happened?"
Then I told him everything. Venting everything out did help a bit but..
It didn't cure anything.
So,
Here we were.
It was dark outside and the mall was closing. People were going out and some gave us some glances here and there.
Malachi hugged me and tried to reassure me. He tried helping me feel better.
I didn't even know what I did wrong but..
All I knew was how much I meant to him at this moment and it wasn't by a lot.
