I knocked on the door of Malachi's house. I could hear some music from the inside.

When Malachi opened the door, music was blasting out and I was almost shocked by it, as Malachi gave me his grin. "Glad you could make it, m'lady," he winked.

"What's with the 'm'lady'?" I laughed. He smiled and let me in, as I saw so many people inside.

From Malachi's co workers to mine that I have invited, to friends of friends.

This house could fit a ton of people and Malachi went all out, as there were even colored lights and loud music playing, almost like a DJ was in the house.

"So, food it over there.. And alcohol is over there," Malachi said as he put his hand on my shoulder and pointed to a table with different kinds of alcohol.

"Uh, I'm not really a big drinker."

"Oh c'mon Y/N, loosen up. After all, this party is basically for you and maybe me. But mostly for you. Just enjoy yourself. I swear if you get drunk, you can stay here. I got a spare room."

"Hmm.. I'll think about it. So, did you invite Liam?" I teased.

"Oh yeah, he's just getting a drink. By the way Levin invited his girlfriend.. So, just warning you."

"What do you mean warning me?"

"Well, if you did want to talk to Levin then Liza would be hogging him to herself. Just letting you know," he shrugged.

I looked across to the drinks table and saw Levin and Liza there, talking. Levin has a smile plastered on his face and he seemed to laugh at whatever she was saying.

I felt like crap.

"You know what, I'll have a drink," I said finally and walked over to the alcohol.

"Wait! I thought you said you weren't going to-

"I never said I wasn't. After all, you were the one who told me to loosen up."

"Yeah.. Just, take it slow. I'll be with Liam or whoever. Just tell my name really loudly if you need me," he smiled and patted my head like I was a dog.

"Hey! I'm not a dog!" I yelled through the loud music as he laughed and kept patting my head.

He said something with a smile as stopped patting my head.

"What?"

"Oh nothing. I'll be with Liam then. See ya!"

Malachi
I kept patting her head over and over as she was pouting and annoyed by it.

"You're so adorable.." I said out loud by accident.

"What?" He asked me loudly.

"Oh nothing. I'll be with Liam then. See ya!" I said as I quickly went out to find Liam.

There, he came to me with two drinks in hand, as he gave me a drink. "Who brought the drinks? You or someone else?" He asked me as he started drinking his cup.

"Oh I did. Y/N offered to pay half and half but I declined. Though, she still payed for a box," I sighed and started drinking my cup as well.

"Do you still like her?" Liam asked bluntly.

I almost choked but I managed to swallow, as I could feel my face heating up a bit. "Maybe.."

"What do you like about her anyways?" He asked me curiously.

"Well.." I started as I remembered our high school days. I smiled at the thought and continued. "She's not like other girls. She supported me in being into photography and helped through it. She didn't question the pictures I took of her for practice but instead laughed at them when we sat down and went though them together. It was nice. She doesn't mainly focus on her looks and can still look beautiful even without trying. Her laugh is just amazing and just being around her can make my whole day better," I smiled as I couldn't keep myself from smiling.

"Woah, that's a lot. Didn't you tell me your brother and her-

"Yeah. I know," I smiled sadly as I eyed my brother with his girlfriend. I could see Y/N over at the alcohol table, talking with Alexis and Kyle. "She can do better than me and I know she doesn't like me that way. It would be nice but, I already know the answer.."

"I-I like you.."

"I'm sorry, I don't feel the same way. I only see you as a friend."

Yeah, that's what's going to happen.

"Well, maybe you could find someone else. Maybe try to be more social and see who you can hook up with?"

"I'm not desperate." I chuckled. "I just can't see myself with anybody when my mind is only filled with her."

"That's tough.. Well, how about you just get drunk and loosen?"

"Yeah.. Good idea."
