"You need to tell Shawn" Aaliyah said "Not yet... i need to find a way to tell him" "Don't wait to long okay?" She asked
I step out of bed and hide the test.
"Hey Chica's! I'm home!" Shawn said "Be quit please Aaliyah" i ask her and she nodded. He comes into the room and gives us a kiss and a hug. "She was good company?" Shawn asks me. "Yes, it was nice having her around" i say "You feeling beter?" He asks "Yes, a lot...." "Good" "I gotta go home" Aaliyah said I say goodbye to her and Shawn lets her out. "Shawn? Can i talk to you for a sec?" I ask him "Yes ofcourse!" He said and takes a seat next to me. I step out of bed and walk upto my suitcase where i hided the test. I take it and step back into the bed. "I'm pregnant, Shawn." I say and give him the test. I see him mouth fall open. "You what?" He ask quitly. "I, i don't know what to do...." "You sure this is not a joke?" He asks. "Ofcourse not... do i look like this is a joke?" I say a little frustrated. I look at him and see his eyes get red and watery. "Shawn? Please say something" "I just.... i can't believe i'm going to be a dad...." "I know Shawn but it's early i guess so we can do abortion...." "WHAT?! No, no you don't understand.... i cry because i'm happy Mandy..." "Wait, you like it?" "Yes!! I've always wanted to be a dad and i couldn't wish for a beter mom for my kids..." "Shawn..." i say and i start to cry. He pulls me in a hug. "You are going to be a amazing mom!" He said and kisses me.
I take my phone and call the hospital. "Hi, you speak with Mandy.... we just found out that we're expecting, so i want to make an appointment for an ultrasound!" "Well, congratulations! We have some time for you tomorrow afternoon!"
We make the appointment and hang up the phone.
"Tomorrow afternoon!" He smiles and rubs my tummy.
It's the next day and we're in the hospital, waiting in the waitingroom. "Miss. Munnik and Mr. Mendes" the doctor asks. We stand up, he takes my hand and we walk into the room. "Lay down on the bed please" she said. I lay down. She pulls my jeans a little down and my shirt a little higher. "When did you do the test" the gynecologist asked. "Yesterday" Shawn said. "Well, we are going to take a look at the baby and how long you're pregnant." "Okay!" "So this can feel a little cold on the skin." She said. she sprayed a transparent gel on my stomach and spread it out, took the device and placed in on my belly. She moved the device over my tummy looking for the baby. "There you go!" She said. I looked on the screen and we saw a little baby. I start to cry when i look at it. "So, if i look at the size of the baby you're like around the 15/16 weeks." "That far?" Shawn asks. "Yes, have you had any symptoms otherwise?" "No... only throwing up..." i say. "In like 4 weeks we will be able to tell the gender of your baby, everything seems healthy!" I smile at Shawn and he smiles back. She gave us a envelope with the ultrasound pictures when we walkes out. "Now it's time to tell my parents..." Shawn said. I nodded. We get into the car and drive to Shawn's parents. "Hey mom! Dad, Aaliyah, can you all come downstairs please?" He yelled down the stairs. Karen, manny and Aaliyah walked into the livingroom and went sitting on the sofa. "So, Mandy and i have an announcement to make." Aaliyah winks at me and Shawn looks at me like i'm crazy. I give him a smile. "So uhm, don't you think we need to tell Grandma, grandpa and auntie the big news?" Shawn asks me with a smile. "Grandma?" Karen said. "If you want to tell her you need to call her Shawn" Manny said. He slaps his hand against his head. "Wauw, okay... uhm.." Shawn blured. "Well, no we wanted to tell you guys the news" i say. Karen and Manny looked like each other, no one knew what we where saying. "god damn mom, she's pregnant!" Aaliyah said. "She knew?!" Shawn said. "Yes, she was the one who bought me the test!" I say laughing. "She's to young for things like this." Shawn says. "She's is 15 Shawn.... she knows a lot more than we know!" "Wait, back to the news, YOU'RE PREGNANT?!" Karen says. "Yes! Im 15 or 16 weeks!" I say back "OMG! Congratz you guys!" She says and hugged me. "Congratz man!" Manny said. Everyone is happy with the news, Karen was even crying. "Mom...." Shawn said and hugged her. "Now you're getting old mum, you're gonna be called a grandma soon" Aaliyah said laughing. Shawn and i started to laugh as well.
We are a view weeks later, i'm now 19 weeks pregnant and we're flying to Holland to tell my parents the big news. When we walked into the house Zoë was there as well. She ran to me and gave me a hug. I say hi to everyone and tell them to sit down. "Well, Shawn and i are expecting..." i say right away." "What?" Zoë said with big eyes. "OMG!! This is sooo cool!! Congratz babe!!" She said and hugs me. My mom and dad congratulate us and we have diner with the fam. We're flying back in the night because Shawn had to go to the studio. "Shawn, i think i'm ready to tell the world about our pregnancy." I say when we are back in our apartment. He smiles and post an instagram picture.
