Treason

Flowey's POV:

"FLOWEY?" King Papyrus calls out.

I sink onto the ground and go over to him. "Yes, my liege?"

"HAVE YOU SEEN SANS? HE MISSED DINNER." He asked.

"No, I haven't seen him the whole day." I answer.

"CAN YOU LOOK FOR HIM? I DON'T KNOW WHERE HE IS, NONE OF THE CAMERAS IN WATERFALL ARE SUDDENLY NOT WORKING AND I CAN'T SEE HIM ANYWHERE ELSE." He asks.

"Of course, your Highness." I say as I sink into the ground again and go over to the locked door in Snowdin.

He's not there.

Huh. I thought out of all places, he'd be there.

I check everywhere in Snowdin. He's not in Snowdin.

Then he'd probably be in Waterfall.

I check in Waterfall. And who do I find, but Sans.

With a human girl.

They were walking through a road on a lake.

Sans is committing treason.

I better warn Papyrus.

I get back to Papyrus.

"HEY FLOWEY. COULDN'T FIND HIM?" He ask.

"Your Highness," I say, "Sans is committing treason."

He looks at me with surprise. "TREASON? OF WHAT SORT?"

I tell him, "Another human fell down. And Sans is with them. He's not taking their SOUL."

Papyrus looks furious. "LET'S GO."

Sans' POV:

katherine and i walk into a room where a music box was playing.

"Oh," katherine stops to hear it. "I like this tune."

"yeah," i say. "me too."

i hold her hand again. she looks at me.

then we kiss again.

mmm... i don't wanna pull back this time.

i pull her by her waist so she would closer.

"SANS?!" i hear.

i quickly pull back to see who it is.

it's papyrus. with flowey beside him.

crap---!

i hold katherine's hand and try to run away.

but my bro used blue magic on both of us.

"JUST WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'RE GOING?" my brother asks.

"paps..." i breath heavily. "how did ya know?"

he answers, "DO YOU THINK YOU'RE MY ONLY SERVANT, SANS?"

crap. flowey knew, probably saw me with her, so he told papyrus.

"papyrus..." i beg, "please, don't hurt her. she's different."

he looks at me furiously. "LIKE HOW THAT MURDERER IS DIFFERENT?! TOO DIFFERENT THAT THEY WERE ABLE TO KILL THE KING?! OUR FRIENDS?! DO YOU WANT ME TO BREAK MY PROMISE, THAT I'LL NOT LET A HUMAN KILL US THEN YOU'LL HAVE TO HAVE THE THRONE?"

i stay silent, feeling guilty.

"NO. THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT YOU'RE AFRAID OF. AND IF YOU TELL ME, 'PAPYRUS, THIS HUMAN WOULD NEVER KILL ANYONE.' HOW CAN YOU PROVE IT? THERE'S NO GUARANTEES. UNLESS I TAKE HER SOUL RIGHT NOW."

i yell with tears in my eyes. "no, no, no, DON'T TAKE HER SOUL, PLEASE! papyrus... do you want anything? i'd do anything. anything you want. you want me to stop associating with her? fine. y-you want me to--- whatever you want, i'll do it. just don't hurt her or let her get hurt... please."

"TOUGH LUCK, BROTHER." papyrus says. "BECAUSE TAKING HER SOUL IS WHAT I'D WANT NOW."

"n-no!!" i yell. "DON'T, PLEASE...!"

my brother summoned bones to come up right under her...

then the bones stabs her.

no no no nO NO...!

papyrus encased her soul in one of the containers we use to store souls.

"AND AS FOR YOU, SANS..." my brother says. "SINCE YOU'VE DISOBEYED YOUR KING, FLOWEY WILL HAVE TO EXECUTE YOU. OR TAKE YOUR SOUL, IF HE LIKES."

"no, you will never...!" i teleport away. i end up in the next room.

"Where did he go?! We must find him...!" i hear flowey say.

"NO, YOU KNOW WHAT? HE'S NONE OF OUR BUSINESS ANYMORE." i hear papyrus say.

"So you're just going to let him go, my liege?!"

"HE HAS NOTHING TO DO. EVEN IF HE DOES, HE SHALL STAND NO CHANCE AGAINST US. WE HAVE SEVEN SOULS NOW."

i hear silence for a few seconds then flowey speaks up. "Fine. Whatever you say, my king. You should rest up, though. Tomorrow, we shall break the Barrier."

i teleport to that room once papyrus and flowey both left it.

i look down at katherine's body.

tears continue to fill my eyes.

i kneel down to her and start to cry.

i lost her, my brother's trust and my freedom altogether in one night.

now, for the rest of my life, i have to hide in shadows if i want to live on...
