IT TOOK ALMOST 30 MINUTES TO REACH MASAN'S TOWN PROPER. However, it was decided that we take a stopover before heading to the inn Taehyung was talking about, since the asshat beside me destroyed the van's rear window glass. Moments ago, before we left the cliff, I can remember how good it felt scolding Jinyoung again for the first time. When I caught a glimpse of a signage being illumined by the headlights, I slightly decrease the speed, turning up the lights's intensity for a clearer night vision.

Masan Town Proper, 1 Km Ahead

In my perspective, I think we've been riding through in away from the outskirts, with about five songs being said played on the screeching, almost torn out radio. I mindlessly turn down its volume to a good zero that thankfully eases my mind; that song's a definite pain in the ears.

"What the heck," oh, didn't I mention that Jinyoung has been singing along to that song? "Why did you put it down?!"

"Quiet," I return him the glare he just gave me then, yet I make sure it'll pacify him; my finger punches on the button, the tape sliding out. "Didn't I tell you your singing's horrible?"

"Hyung!" he whines. "Don't you like Twice?"

I shrug. How the hell can he still sing at a situation like this? The more I see various signages ahead of us, the more I think the town looks like a place where most people had spended their lives with business and negotiations rather than chilling out. The darkness slightly adjusts as afew more dim lights emerge, allowing more space and light. I look through the mirror to find out that the rest of them are still asleep.

I spare the guy sitting beside me a glance but I make sure I mainly have my focus on the road to watch out for any casualty. Jinyoung is somehow staring at his pointer finger, playing with it by creating swirling tiny glints of white.

"What are you doing?" I ask.

He hums quietly, surprisingly dodging my question even if the answer already seems obvious. Only now I realize what words just flew out of my mouth. I must be stupid. No, I really am. "It's a fortune that winter's near," he says in amusement.

I raise an eyebrow. "How can you say that?"

Jinyoung shrugs. "Well, you know, I can sense it."

"You can sense it?" It doesn't really sound that weird, given the fact of what the asshole doctor had done to us. I just hope it isn't like it's any relevant to the words 'predict' or 'foresee'.
