Amelia hadn't managed to help Ara escape though she attempted to do so many times and each and every time, she was either interrupted or caught going into the basement.

Ara's heat had finally somewhat subsided though it still drove her crazy, causing her to stay down in the basement even longer. She hadn't been allowed back until her heat was over and because no one was allowed to touch her just yet, no one knew when it would die down.

The alpha was still saving her for himself as he threatened to do so many times, his strength almost faltering each time he went down there to remind Ara of who was the boss and what he could do to her if she tried to refuse him in any way.

Amelia's birthday had finally rolled around giving the rest of the pack something to do and distract themselves with and so, it was decided that it was time for another hunt. As the pack was out hunting they came upon a den that had smoke flowing out of it; they slowly moved inside, keeping their footsteps precise and steady.

Once the fire was in view they saw a red wolf lying beside the fire. A rare beauty it was, not as rare as a white one but uncommon nonetheless. Around the sleeping wolf, was a bunch of herbs and bowls, some small knick-knacks that looked like bone and teeth. It was strange to see such things lying about a den, not one of them had ever seen such a thing before.

The alpha looked back to his men and motioned for them to scatter and surround the wolf to capture it and bring it back home, but little did they know was that this mere red wolf was far from your ordinary wolf and sooner or later they would find out just what that meant and what would be in store for them.

While the pack was out, Alec snuck back into the cabin heading down the stairs to the basement and unlocked the door. The moment the door opened, a wave of lust hit him, his pupils dilating as he allowed the smell of her scent to pull him further in and without hesitation he stood before her, his eyes glazed over as he stared down at her.

Ara blinked and looked up at him surprised to see him; she couldn't remember how long it had been since she'd seen him. A smile formed on her lips as she took him in savoring the moment and how his hair fell around his face capturing him in a dark halo of soft locks.

Alec knelt down beside her, his hand coming down to cup her face; she pressed her cheek into his hand loving the warmth that his touch brought her. She slowly sat up and moved closer to him; wanting nothing more than to be as close to him as humanly possible.

"I've missed you..." She whispered into his touch.

A sad smile formed on his lips as he leaned into her and pressed his lips to hers, the spark igniting between them as their lips touched; the heat coursing through her body and igniting the unstable heat within her body, only this time it was becoming even more unbearable as her mate was now in her presence.

She moaned into his kiss,

"Alec, I can't take it anymore... I need you; I need you to cure me!"

Her words came out as a begging whimper. He pulled away from their kiss and looked her over, the scent of her heat driving him wild, his strength to not claim her faltering with each passing second.
