Dahlia had been in the kitchen prepping the eggs for breakfast when the Alpha stormed in and grabbed Dahlia by the back of her head, the Alpha's large hand tangled up into her hair as he yanked her head back with enough force to snap the neck of an average human.

"Where are they!"

Dahlia hissed as he continued to yank on her hair. "Let me go, I have no idea what you're talking about!"

The Alpha yanked even harder "do not play stupid with me girl, my son and that whore slave friend of yours are gone!"

Dahlia gritted her teeth.

"How would I know where they are at? I'm not their gatekeeper! Your sorry excuse for a son is never home, how is that still surprising to you?"

A sharp pain shot through Dahlia's face as the Alpha backhanded her across the face causing her to bite the inside of her cheek hard enough to draw blood.

"I know they are together, and if you do not tell me where they are, you can make damned sure that you and that little smart mouth of yours are going to be very, very sorry."

Dahlia rolled her eyes,

"I already told you, you hard of hearing beastly and foul-smelling man! I do not know what you are talking about and even if I had, I wouldn't tell the likes of you or your men, so..."

Dahlia took a step closer, squaring her shoulders as she raised her chin up to look directly into the dark soulless eyes of the Alpha,

"By all means, do your worst. You will never get a word from me and if they do happen to be together, I pray to the moon goddess that they are as far away from this dreadful place as possible!"

Her words were coated in venom by the end; she spoke the words with such distaste that she could practically taste the poison dripping from each syllable.

The Alpha narrowed his eyes as he shouted for Paul who quickly rushed into the kitchen and looked between the two of them.

"Yes?" The Alpha turned to face him as he spoke;

"Gather the men, get our best trackers. The slave and my son have run off."

Paul looked to Dahlia then back to Michael. "Are you positive? Alec always disappears without a trace."

The Alpha nodded his head.

"I am sure. His bed hasn't been slept in, and no one has seen him since supper, him or that little wench! They've had a few hours start, they could be anywhere by now!"

Paul sighed with a nod of his head.

"Yes, sir. I shall gather the men right away. Snow is falling it may take some time to locate them, but it shouldn't be too hard. They couldn't have gone too far with how heavy it is coming down if they traveled through the night it won't be too difficult."

Michael nodded his head dismissing Paul so that he could deal with Dahlia.

Just as the Alpha had been about to strike Dahlia, Amelia's voice rang through the open space.

"What's with all the commotion?" Amelia's eyes moved from her father to the defiant look on Dahlia's face then over to her father's raised fist.

"Your brother and that girl have fun off but worry not my dear; the men and I will find them and bring them back here safely."

Dahlia snorted completely well aware and unconvinced of the Alpha's words and the hidden meaning behind them.
